    I am Severely Obese!

Plenty of room on this bench for you to join me! You are doing great.

    Started process

Congratulations for starting this amazing journey!
  3. I have noticed I am less sweaty, and like others are tending to be cold now. I used to sweat walking into the building for work from my car and that no longer happens.

    Working after Gastric bypass

I went back to my desk job working remotely 4 days after surgery. I ended up off the entire next week because of fatigue. It was more than I could handle and I napped a lot which is completely NOT like me. I hope this works out and you don't over do it.

    Down a size!!

    That is awesome!
  6. My weight loss journey started with me at my high weight of 308. On day of surgery I was 270 and now I am down to 241. TWL = 67lbs. I was wearing a size 26/28/3x but now am down to 2x in most everything - depends on the style. I am 10 weeks postop now. I am struggling with only losing 29lbs since surgery. I feel like it should be more based on what I see others losing.
  7. Here's a picture of me a year ago on vacation and another of me from last night. This is the first photo I have taken since my sleeve on 3/16/2018. This is the first time I am actually SEEING any change. When I look in the mirror I see the same person on the left when I was at my HW of 308lbs. This morning I was weighed in when I saw one of the many docs we see, and was 242lbs. I can't wait to put the next version of me next to these 2 pictures.

    Pain after Vitamins

No issues here with swallowing a vitamin pill except if my stomach is completely empty. I have a supplement/med cocktail I take in the morning of about 11 pills so I need to eat first and then I am good to go.

    So Sore 😭😭😭

I hope you feel better soon. My surgeon did a patch behind my ear for nausea and it made the world of difference for me. I did have a heck of a time pushing liquids and ended up back at the ER a week afterwards because I became dehydrated. So if you can tolerate it, sip as much as you can. Hang in there.

    Let’s talk about sliming

I'm sorry, but what do you mean by slime? Now if you said leaked a little (from having kids and being obese) I would totally know what you meant. LOL
  14. I am not sure I am regretting it yet but I am questioning if I did the right surgery. I had sleeve surgery on 3/16 and it has been way to easy, as if it wasn't done. The only time I feel restricted is if I don't measure my food (eating out) and eat a little too much. I get a dull pain in my chest. I haven't lost any weight for over 4 weeks now and I am not sure if I will. I am following the rules with an occasional meal out. I exercise and I am drinking, etc. I regret the sleeve to the point that I believe I should have done the bypass but was afraid of the reroute.

    Non Scale Victories

I was sitting in the auditorium at the high school last night and needed to fill out some paperwork. My daughter says.."Mom, there's a desk attached to the chair." She proceeds to start pulling it out. I was never able to use the desk like that because of my weight. Last night it was able to be used and it didn't touch me anywhere! I was sooooo excited.
  16. We all talk about stalls so I was sitting here wondering how long has your longest stall been?
  17. I tried them post-op. Like others have mentioned, they are quite sweet.
  18. The hospital put them on my legs and I didn't have to pay anything, my insurance did. I only wore it for the overnight at the hospital the first day.
  19. Another NSV - I am hitting either the elliptical or treadmill for 45 min in a row. I also am doing weights for my bat wings (the back of my arms) lol. I honestly would have never been able to exercise this long before. I was straining after 10 minutes. My work offers personal trainers in the workout facility (for a fee) and I am considering it to help me maximize my time working out. I don't want to always do cardio but I am not sure what weight exercises to do now.

On another note, yesterday after my last meeting I went down to the fitness center and worked out. I didn't text home and ask if I could, I just took the time and did it and told them to start dinner without me. I got home at my normal time and it really didn't bother me that I didn't "ask permission" to take care of myself. I actually put myself first for once. :)

putting your health and happiness first is really a form of putting family first. What good are you if your sick and miserable.

    Time off work

I had my surgery on a Friday and was back to work the next Tuesday. My boss let me work remotely as I have a desk job where I sit in a cubicle all day. I worked from home the rest of that week. The following week I had already planned off as it was spring break. In hindsight I should have taken the earlier week off as well, because I was wiped out.
