  1. Texting about making a surgery decision - you are doing what you gotta do to get the ball rolling. I appreciate what you and your husband have done to protect my freedoms. Thank you so much.

My son is in the Army. Joined when he was 18 yo and I worried about him. He's served almost 5 years and will be finished this summer. Those serving face a lot over their service time.

Wishing you much success and please give your husband my thanks. [emoji253][emoji631]

Thank you and tell your son thank you for us as well. This is almost 26 years for my husband and 4 deployments (national guard) but he says this is his last one. He is also army. I have a son in the navy stationed in Japan. I feel like my guys are all over the place lol I still have three boys at home...I can’t wait to be the best I can be for them...they really really need me present in all capacity right now. What did your son do in the army?

  2. Well Mel, thanks for the hope you’ve given me that I can actually still drink coffee. [emoji8] Carbonated drinks not a real problem for me since I don’t buy any for my home. It is very unhealthy and my 4 boys would chug down the entire amount I’d bring no matter how much I bring. [emoji23][emoji23]So I stopped bringing any home or drinking soda of any kind about 10 years ago. I’ll ask my doc just in case because I plan to go back for another appointment before the procedure to ask any questions I didn’t ask at our consult and honestly to pay him because I’d prefer not to mail in the check and possibly it getting lost which would definitely delay the procedure.
Wow Mel you sound like you are just bursting with energy. I would love to get that energy back like when I first took phentermine over 10 years ago, (Bubbles can relate to this), and I felt so energetic. Of course that was artificial energy and only lasted till my next dose and of course I had to keep increasing it to get the same effect. Well you see where I’m going with this. That would be awesome to actually have a clean house with 5 other men/ boys living in it. 🤭🤭You’ve just given me another thing to look forward to Mel[emoji847][emoji847] Right now I barely have enough energy to finish my basic cleaning, laundry, cooking dinner, helping with HW, driving back and forth between my boys’ wrestling matches, [emoji31][emoji26][emoji29]. My life right now just feels so overwhelming and draining If this procedure gives me the energy to finally stop feeling overwhelmed and handle my everyday life then that alone would make it worth it to me. (Oh yeah weight loss is a very close second for sure).
You are doing so great Mel! Running 10 minutes straight? And then 40 minutes cardio and weights? Good for you my love!! Keep inspiring the rest of us pre esg people. We or at least I am living off of your accomplishments. I can’t wait to be with you on the other side. [emoji307][emoji307]

As far as soda for your boys (I also have 4 boys), try soda stream...my kids have really loved it!

  3. My nipples have gotten smaller and get chafed on long runs from rubbing against my shirt. Actually get little scabs around the tip. Still rather hairy. Now my pecs are rock-solid, though, and no more man-boobs. Never wore a bra before. Oh... is this for girls only?

  4. Hi! I am new as well. Ive seen a few names on other threads that I see here. I haven’t had my first appointment yet but oddly enough I had already had 95% of the tests and requirements done so I just had to have it all faxed over. I have to attend a seminar on Monday then I will have my first appointment. I know exactly what you are saying about not feeling comfortable in your own skin. I cannot wait for that day again! I also have PCOS and this is what my endocrinologist Recommended. Can’t wait to see your progress and everyone else’s! Prayers for everyone going through their struggles and journeys [emoji177]

  5. Anyone with a 36-7 BMI with good success with sleeve surgery having PCOS? I know I love all kinds of food so I would consider myself a foodie however I didn’t feel like I have an inappropriate relationship with it. I only say that bc on another thread some people were talking about food addiction which I feel is different than myself and possibly others looking to or have already had surgery. My question is, what has been y’all success having PCOS?

  6. I got my referral approved today! My endocrinologist actually approached me with this so I didn’t even have to bring it up. The lady at the surgery place said my metformin counts as weight loss program and I was on it for over 6 months so that is my “in” for that. No Jenny or neutrisystem bs. I am going to have my pcm send my records and I have even (recently) had a full heart Work up. So I now just need my psych evaluation and a couple of other things.

  7. was it hard to be approved with PCOS thru insurance?was the wait and the same as if someone didnt have issues? I am literally soaking up all of this information...I have an appointment with my endocrinologist this week and am going to discuss surgery...im super nervous!
