Sorry your having a hatd time, my surgery was the 29th, and I feel great, each day gets better. I have finally passed gas, but still no BM. But theres nothing in there to pass. I have had any nausea, at all. Sipping is working for me, and im trying to get at least 2 shakes down, it doesn't always happen. I have not taken any pain pills, i just dont need them. I have discomfort but not pain. Im returing to work on wed and im sure by then i will be feeling even better. I walk daily about 3 good times a day. Good luck everyone. Hi, i just had a lapo RNY and have 6 very very small incisions, my husband had an Open RNY and has a very large noticeable scar all the way down his stomach. Neither of us had any difficulties at all, but he was off work longer and had a bigger chance of infection around his opening, so really your choice. I had surgery this past Tuesday, home the next day. Not too much pain, just a bit by my bigger incision. But its tolerable. So far keeping all liquids down, no puking. I slept ok, but it hurts too bad to lie on my side. So sleeping on my stinks. But that's nothing. I will be back to work next Thursday. Sugery was yesterday, now going home. So far really good, i have a slight pain on my side, but thats real mild. Keepong every sip down, enjoying my broth and jello. Im so excited i did it. On my 14 day diet i was only allowed 3 protein shakes , 1 surgar free jello, or 1 sugar free popsicle. A day. And today, only clear liquids, no shakes...so today added broth...and it tasted like steak. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using BariatricPal mobile app
