That's great!!! That was my main reason for surgery. I was insulin dependent, with high doses. I've been off insulin since leaving the hospital. Surgery was 2 months ago.

I was a 5.... had a lot of pain. Slept in the recliner until I could lay in the bed. I moved very slow. Then again I'm 63, and age may factor into my recovery.
I'm now 2 months out and at a 10.

I'm in the same calorie area as you . Today I'm at 709 calories. I'm 2 months post op with a duodenal switch. I haven't gone over 1000 calories. I'm eating well and not holding back. Just eat until I'm satisfied.

At first I couldn't get enough popsicles. Even when I was in the hospital. Now it's more of a treat at 2 months post op.

I'm on the Celebrate ADEK had the duodenal switch. I gag on those chewables. I've been supplementing with One a Day 60+ I can go on the capsule except I need to order it online as the hospital pharmacy doesn't carry the capsules.
I haven't heard of the vitamin patches. Sounds like an ideal option for Vitamins.< br>

I had my surgery at Celebration hospital. I had the duodenal switch. Being insulin dependent for years, on high doses of insulin. I've only take insulin twice since leaving the hospital. Surgery was on November 10, 2017.
Best of luck with your journey.

Is belching normal?

I've been belching, but not any more than before my surgery. I burp more out of the backside, but knew I would as that is a side effect of the duodenal switch.
