24 hr. liquid. Low carb until then. I got really lucky with the process. Didn't have to do the 6 mon. supervised nutrition.Congrats Just4nise!! That's so exciting! Does your surgeon require a pre-op diet?
Thank you to everyone.

I've collected a 2qt crock pot for making individual Soups, (that can be frozen and rewarmed easily), personal blender, shaker bottles, Vitamins (1 month worth only), True Lemon Water enhancers, and a small scoop for measuring serving sizes, (it's slightly bigger then a melon baller). Next on my list is a food processor.

Finished my psych eval Wednesday and met with the nutritionist today. I feel like both went extremely well. Now just have to wait and see what the next step is. I'll be call the office on Monday to make sure my part is done.
This almost seems to easy... 🤯

One of my favorite ways of getting Water in when I'm struggling is to use my blender, ice, water, and a flavor enhancer (anything by True Lemon are my favs due to either no sugar or very low sugar content) I make them into kind of a snowcone or slushie. I feel like it's kind of a treat.

Thanks everybody. I'm just worried I will get to that stage and then therapist say no because I am on antidepressants and anxiety meds, my mom has Alzheimer's and it has put a lot of stress on our family. My siblings and I barely speak which threw me into a depression. I hope these aren't considered "red flags" and I'm not allowed to go forward. I don't gamble because I did see an addiction forming there so I voluntarily had myself banned from all local casinos. I hope they don't see that as a problem and say nope, you're too jacked up...
I feel you, my eval is on 5/2, and it has me more anxious then any other part of this journey...

I have my psych eval on Wednesday. Today I was filling out the patient information package and some of the questions have left me feeling really anxious. Though I am stronger, happier, and in a much healthier place today then I have ever been in my whole life, I still can't help but worry that my past will come back and bite me in the a$$...

I had my first consult with the new surgeon today. Found out my insurance DOES NOT require the 6 months supervised weight loss program.... YAY!!!!
Just have to knock out psych and nutritionist appointments and then they will submit for approval.
SOOO HAPPY.

Thank you guys, I'll definitely look into those.

Since I've had to push back my surgery I've decided to use the time "wisely" and make some changes that I know I'll need to do anyways, starting with Protein Shakes. I just can not get pass the taste of whey Protein.
What would y'all recommend as an alternative?

I agree, the idea of ulcers scare me more then the gerd.

I have GERD as well, my Dr told me that if you can manage it with medication then I should still be able to get the sleeve, and may even cure it. Definitely follow up with Dr on that one.
Also, avoid eating before bed. Mine got so bad even Water was causing flare ups.

Have to start over, so don't have a date yet. At least I was at the beginning of the process.

Had my consult yesterday, which went really well until this morning when the Dr. Office called me and told me that my surgery was not going to be covered.
I called the insurance company and found out that it is covered, just not at that clinic. I got the name of a clinic that is covered and found out that my cost is only going to be $1500.

I also have GERD (had it prior to surgery). I remain on Pantoprazole and have not had any issues in that regard.
That's really good to hear, I'm on the same meds for my GERD

How long after surgery did it take for "head hunger" to return, and how did you cope with it?
