  1. I had the lapband surgery in May of 2017. It never worked for me. I rarely felt restriction even with a full band. In January of 2018, I had the band removed (due to GERD) along with my gall bladder (had stones). I recently was approved for revision and I'm scheduled for RNY on April 26th. My insurance even allowed me to use my diet visits from the lapband preop since it was just last year! I can't wait! Good luck on your journey! 2. I'm scheduled for bypass on April 26th. I have a 10 day pre-op diet that starts on the 16th. I am so ready for surgery! The 26th seems so far away even though I know it's right around the corner [emoji23] HW- 273 Lapband SW- 258 (5/5/17) Revision SW- CW- 251 GW- 140

  4. I had that after my gall bladder removal. Got a little better each day. HW- 273 Lapband SW- 258 (5/5/17) Revision SW- CW- 251 GW- 140

  19. I'm just getting started with the revision process in Dayton, Ohio. May I ask what insurance you have that didn't require the diet? I'm just stressing about repeating the process after just going through it last year, lol. Good luck on your journey though! Sent from my Pixel XL using BariatricPal mobile app
  20. I had lap band surgery in May 2017. I have a full band, no restriction, and have lost no weight since the procedure. I switched to a new doctor who seems to think the band has slipped and we have discussed revision to the bypass or sleeve. I am just wondering if I will have to go through the 6 months of nutritional visits, psych exam, etc...again since I just completed all of those requirements about a year ago. I just hate the idea of starting over with all of that. I have Molina Medicaid in Ohio. Any input would be appreciated!. Thanks! Sent from my Pixel XL using BariatricPal mobile app
  21. I'm new on here. I was banded in May 2017. Fast forward till now, my band is almost full and I have had no weight loss )other than 17 pounds I lost pre op) and feel no restriction. I switched to a new doctor in Dayton, Ohio last week. He thinks my band is out of place. After discussing my case with him, we decided to schedule surgery to remove my gallbladder and my lapband. I should get that date sometime this week. Then I am going to start the process to get a revision to bypass. The lady I spoke to in the office said I will have to do the 6 month diet again. I am really hoping this is not the case since I just did the diet and all the pre-op test last year. Sent from my Pixel XL using BariatricPal mobile app
  22. How did things work out for you? I am looking into the same thing. The Dr office said I have to do the 6 month supervised diet again. I was hoping I wouldn't since I just completed this for the band 2 yrs ago. Sent from my Pixel XL using BariatricPal mobile app
