  1. Hum I wouldn’t say any of the cons would have stopped me from having surgery. I would do it all over again. Here are some cons I have experienced. I’m 17 days post op. 1- I hate eating. Takes forever to eat and if you don’t eat slow and chew good, it hurts going down. 2- getting all the Water in is a challenge and stressful for me. 3-No foods appeal to me anymore ( I guess that could be a good thing). 4- I hate taking Vitamins. I liked them before the surgery now I hate how they taste. Those are my cons so far but all of these complaints will get better with time. No regrets!

  2. I’m 9 days post-op and I’ve already hit a stall. I’ve been the same weight for 3 days now. Is it normal to hit a stall only 9 days out? I’ve been walking for 20-30 min on a treadmill and that’s not helping.

  3. You can ask for Chantix. It helped me quit a few times. This last time I did it cold turkey and was able to do it because I knew I had to for the surgery and i wanted the surgery more than I wanted to smoke. I wouldn’t suggest smoking after the surgery is done either. Your wounds inside need to heal and smoking can increase the changes for infections, blood clots etc. so do yourself a favor and just quit and think about the positives of quitting. Saving lots of money, not smelling like an ashtray, having more energy, saving your life. The list goes on. Good luck!
