  1. Just had my last weigh and and Physical therapy appointment today! Now submitting to insurance (aetna). I'm so nervous and wondering how long till i hear from insurance and then how long until I can get the surgery. I'm thinking latest beginning of june. Anxiety is so bad right now.

Everyone's insurance is different. Mine took 5 weeks. But others take 2 weeks. I was scheduled for surgery 2 weeks after the approval so I could do my preop liquid diet.< br>
It will all be worth it. Don't give up!

  2. I wouldn't say relief. It is painful to cry. But I talked to my sister-in-law last night. She said she had the hormonal crying, too. Hers went away in a week or so. I have no buyers regrets. I cry at everything right now. Yes, I'm in a lot of pain since the only med I can take is children's Tylenol. But just crying out of the blue. I know now its normal. I'm just surprised that I've not seen it on the forums before.

  3. I had VSG 2 days ago. I don't remember from falling asleep in the OR to waking in my private room 6 hours later. I do remember the nurse telling me it's ok to sleep if my body needs it. 2 hours later I was up going pee and walking. Keep walking and figure out how much Water to drink now. You will be home in no time.

It will all be worth it. Don't give up!

  4. I've been all over this forum and can't find anything about how you feel emotionally after surgery. I felt great at the hospital. Now that I'm home, I feel like my hormones are out of whack! I cried when I asked my mother for some Mirilax. I cried when I asked the pharmacist to fill my prescription. It's crazy! Does anyone else have or has had these baby blues?

It will all be worth it. Don't give up!

  5. Surgery was yesterday at 8:30 a.m. Fixed my hernia as well. I was up and walking and going pee by 6 last night. Feeling really good today. The nurses are wonderful. Getting discharged now. Should be leaving in an hour or so. I totally understand why it is so hard to from 1 ounce every 15 minutes. That's a challenge. But I can do it!

  6. Desert Girl good luck getting into, the liquid diet groove, there are many on here who say it's one of the hardest parts to the whole process. I take that to mean---if you can do this, you can do anything. I always read all the postings about it, figure the more I read the better I'll handle,it when it's my time.[emoji479][emoji477]. Maybe next month, that's what I'm hoping for [emoji14]

Thanks! I've done very well. Day 1 was fine. 2 was hard. 3 was better. 4 was brutal. Everything got easy for me on day 9 when the hunger pain went away. Of course, I'm hungry. But not like before and I don't feel the pain of it. I'm now on day 13 of 14. So close!!

  7. How much is everyone losing on your preop liquid diet? I was told to expect to lose 15-20 pounds with majority being on the first week. I'm on day 5 of mine. I've been very honest, no cheating. Drinking much more than the required 64 oz. of Water. I started at 269 (273 day before due to my last meal being Thai food). I'm 266 today. So weight loss of 3 pounds in 5 days seems a bit low.
