  1. Wow, Bamby! You are an inspiration and look wonderful! HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  2. Hi Looking2Lose, I started with a BMI of 35.5. My comorbidities would be high cholesterol and high blood pressure. The funny thing is my cholesterol is easily controlled with a low dose statin, and my blood pressure isn’t really high enough to treat with a small dose of lisinopril. I tried 5mg of lisinopril initially, but my blood pressure became too low. On my chart, the surgeon added glucose sensitivity, but the only time my glucose was a problem was during pregnancy when I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes (30 years ago). I’ve never been diagnosed with pre-diabetes. It felt great to receive the insurance approval. It felt even better once the hospital bill arrived ($25,000).
  3. Just received the bill for my sleeve surgery on 5/2. My mouth dropped open when I determined the total...$25,000. For some reason, I had assumed surgery was $10,000. Imagine my surprise. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  4. Please understand that I’m not trying to dispute your statements. I would like to say that all of the vitamins and minerals used in the PatchMD are clearly being obsorbed given the blood tests that follow.
  5. So sorry you had to go through this! After surgery, I was instructed to take a stool softener twice a day, and if that didn’t do the trick, add Milk of Magnesium. Magnesium capsules also work well for me, but the pills are too large to swallow at this point. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  6. Actually, blood work is the proof. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  7. Hi, I started using them 3 months before surgery and post surgery. My lab results were great. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  8. Hi Erin, My Bariatric Center of Excellence tests the levels of the vitamins and minerals in the patient’s blood levels. They don’t have any issues with the PatchMD Multivitamin Plus. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  9. Hi Everyone, Rather than rely on what some website states, the proof is actually in blood tests checking on the levels of the vitamins and minerals. The Bariatric Center of Excellence where I had surgery uses blood tests to check the levels of patient’s vitamins and minerals and say they are a safe alternative. Each Center, Surgeon, NUT, etc. has different views on this. I’ll go with solid lab results that show which product works or doesn’t work. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  10. Yes. Perfectly normal. Surgeon said it would start loosening on Days 4 and 5. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  11. Whoa! If you have a pre-op EKG that looked fine, there is no reason that you’d have a heart attack. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  12. Hi Stargirl, My NUT told me that they recommend PatchMD Multivitamin Plus. They are so much easier than swallowing all the calcium, multivitamins, B12, Vitamin D, etc. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  13. Every time I swallow a small amount of protein shake, creamy diluted soup, water or anything, I get a stabbing pain in the area of my sternum. I’m taking small sips or very small spoonfuls. Any advice? HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  14. Just saw them at Walmart today. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  15. All hospitals have backup generators so no need to worry! HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  16. The purpose of the pre-op diet is ketosis which shrinks the liver. The liquid diet was tough for me since I don’t enjoy the protein drinks. I did, however, stick with a high protein and no carb diet during the pre-op and lost weight, and the surgeon said my liver looked great. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  17. Wow! You look fantastic! HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  18. What a difference two days make! Yesterday and today have been so much better. The nausea is gone! HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  19. Yes, I tried Premier Protein. I think the sweet flavor when hungry is what is bothering me. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  20. Hi! Turning 59 in June and had the sleeve done on 5/2! Yesterday and the day before were rough, but it gets better each day. Today was very manageable. HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  21. Nope! I’ve never had a hysterectomy! HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  22. Wow! Just Wow, Mike! We see you entered your Hottie mode! Hahaha HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  23. Hey Miz! I’m 58 and just had surgery on May 2! Let me know how it is going! HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
  24. My surgery was at a Bariatric Center of Excellence, like many others. The nutritionist said that the PatchMD Multivitamin Plus works great and decreases many pills that must be swallowed. So easy to use! Slap on a new vitamin patch every morning.
  25. Please don’t let these people influence you! An interesting statistic is one from the Real Self website. 99% of the people who have VSG would do it again! HW: 225 SW: 214 (5/2/2018) CW: 208 GW: 145
