Travel
I haven't, and probably won't for at least another year because we're also having a baby in July, but I'm not sure what the challenges would be. Then again, we'd be going to England to visit my wife's sister and her family, so there wouldn't be a language barrier.

How youuuu poopin’?
I only took Miralax until I had my next bowel movement. By then the fiber pills were keeping everything moving. I don't think I took Miralax for longer than 3 or 4 days.

Food Restrictions
No restrictions after 6 weeks. That being said, rice doesn't go well when I do eat it. As for bread, I tolerate crackers and tortillas just fine, King's Hawaiian rolls go ok, and hamburger and hot dog buns are out. White bread is easier for me than wheat, and both have to be toasted. And I've done fine tolerating bagels, I was able to eat a whole bagel with butter yesterday. The only attempt I've made at pasta was beef stroganoff on Monday and the egg noodles were fine, although I focused on the beef and mushrooms and still finished about 1/4 of it.

How youuuu poopin’?
I recently had a bad run of constipation that culminated in a blockage that needed to be cleared on Saturday with a suppository, and this blockage left a whole lot of blood behind. Several days of Miralax and fiber supplements twice a day for the foreseeable future, and I'm fine now.

Dating
I met my wife when I was 300 pounds and had several long-term relationships prior to that, so I don’t think the demand is nonexistent or even low. I also know scores of people without weight management issues who’ve had trouble with relationships, so losing weight isn’t a magic solution, either. Any clue as to why these relationships haven’t worked out for you so far?

How youuuu poopin’?
The issue has been constipation for me, and it’s worse for me since I had an anal fissure that needed to be repaired with surgery about four years ago. Trying the fiber pills/Miralax combo now, and I had a cup of coffee for breakfast.

Raw Veggies
I got a burrito bowl with pico de gallo right when I started soft foods and it didn’t go well at all, but no issues with raw veggies now.

F U SODA
Ive tried sips at various points since the surgery and it hasn’t gone well. Once I drank a bunch through a straw right after eating a plain cheeseburger on half a bun and it all came back up.

Sushi in soft phase? Rice?
I’m almost 8 weeks out and rice still doesn’t sit well with me.

Anyone that started around 300 want to share your stats?
Stats are to the left. 10 lbs of my weight loss was the pre-op diet.

Super Bowl food!
I could eat half a cup of puréed soup two weeks out I made pulled pork and had two sandwiches on knockoff King’s Hawaiian rolls. Had a couple tablespoons of guacamole and that was about it. Oh, and a deep dish pizza cupcake. I was telling the support group on Monday night how gargantuan everyone else’s portions looked, I couldn’t believe they could eat that much (and these are not big eaters, either)!

Hospital packing help!
I packed several changes of clothing I never wore. I changed into a nightshirt after the first night but could’ve worn the hospital gown the whole time. I would say that you won’t have the energy to do much besides read or watch television, so no need to bring too many distractions. My stay was so short I didn’t even need to charge my phone.

Clothing Rental
Rent the Runway is the only other one I’m aware of, and based on what I’ve seen of their clothing, it’s a bit of a stretch to say it’s appropriate for an office. Buying is really your only option. K&G has inexpensive professional attire, and there’s always the ol’ Goodwill.

How soon after Surgery
I was told that if the steri-strips fell off, that was that, no replacing them with band-aids. 4 of the 5 stayed on till my first post-op appt and the doctor ripped them off then. I showered immediately open getting home, was told that I needed to use a soapy washcloth on the incision sites and pat dry. I just washed above and below the incision sites.

Sorry to hear that.

Gastric sleeve
That is way too long. If I don’t poop in the morning, I start taking Sennokot that night.

What's for dinner today? (cause we already did breakfast and lunch)
White toast with peanut butter and jam. Yum!

I Think I'm Doing Everything Wrong...and Shrinking
Ha. "Bariatric card." I'll just tell them I had the surgery, and if they go on a power trip, I'll pull up my shirt and show them the scars.

I Think I'm Doing Everything Wrong...and Shrinking
I haven't decided between ordering off the kids' menu and ordering an adult meal and taking 3/4 of it home with me. Sometimes I want a real meal, sometimes I want to pay $5 or less for my meal.

I Think I'm Doing Everything Wrong...and Shrinking
Oh that's too bad. I don't know what I'll do if we ever go to a buffet again. I'm hoping I can throw myself on their mercy and get charged the kid's price.

What's for dinner today? (cause we already did breakfast and lunch)
Thanks! My wife made frozen turkey meatballs for dinner on Sunday night and I thought I'd eaten too many and/or not been able to tolerate them when they came back up, but they made my wife sick too, so that bag went in the trash.

dark colored urine
Tell me about it, I could drink 96-128 ounces of water while I was on the pre-op diet without batting an eyelash. It'll help when the weather warms up and I can drink water during my commute.

What's for dinner today? (cause we already did breakfast and lunch)
Probably toast, since I'm trying to recover from 36 hours of diarrhea.

Recommendations for treating an upset stomach?
I’ve had terrible diarrhea since Sunday night or so (had to get up several times in the night). Today I packed Greek yogurt, applesauce, and the mixings for a protein shake. Had dry toast for breakfast. Any other recommendations? Normally I’d do the BRAT diet but the R is out till tomorrow.

What do you eat that DOESN'T bother you or make you feel nauseous?
Right now the shakes are pretty much the only thing I can eat that don’t make me at least a little sick. But I remember when the shakes made me sick, too, so hopefully the stuff that’s making me sick now won’t make me sick in 6 weeks.
