    Stuck ... what to do

No, it hasn't passed yet. It's been a few hours. I'm trying some hot tea now to see if it will help. I would spit it up if I could. Perhaps my stress level isn't helping it to go down.

    February 2018 Success Stories

Sending prayers that your surgery day will come quickly..
  3. I’ve been and remain on all kinds of meds. Not being able to take Lamotrigine would have been a deal-breaker for me, as it has worked miracles for me. I wasn’t told I couldn’t remain on it after my VSG procedure, thank God. Starting weight 2008: 220 Surgery day weight: 160 Current weight: 148 Goal weight: 130

Considering getting a gastric sleeve after lapband

I had my lap band for nine years before it slipped and had to be removed last year. I had lost 80 lbs, but I gained weight after the band bit the dust. I was really worried about gaining it all back, so I had my VSG surgery last week (2/14). So far so good - I’ve lost 12 lbs. I’m relieved to have the restriction back...

    Any February Sleevers?

I hope all went well with your surgery yesterday! Welcome to the formally banded club. It feels good to finally have the port removed.

Thanks very much! I wasn’t told about gas-x, so I really appreciated it!

    Any February Sleevers?

Had my surgery on 2/14. Along with the sleeve, Wednesday's surgery included fixing my hiatal hernia and moving my old lapband port. I spent two days/nights in the hospital and came home yesterday. I'm glad to be home, where I can get some rest. I'm very bloated-I've only been able to burp, not pass gas. I'm hurting but taking pain meds. I'm on the clear liquid phase right now, but my doctor says I can begin full liquids tomorrow. I'm just trying to make sure I can get in all the water I need. The nutritionists who work with my surgeon gave out tiny 1oz cups to regulate the volume of water swallowed. My doctor wants me to drink 60 oz of water per day. It's 6:30, and I've only managed to get 30 in so far. I do worry about getting enough protein and water everyday. I have having some regrets, but I know they will pass once I heal properly and am used to injesting tiny amounts of everything.

    Any February Sleevers?

Tomorrow is the big day...feeling happy but nervous. This is the second bariatric procedure I've had. Ten years ago, I had a lap band procedure, but the band was removed in an emergency surgery about one year ago. Turns out, 1/3 of my stomach slipped through my band. Very painful. I was really worried about putting the weight back on, and I had gained 20 pounds since the removal of the band. I was supposed to have the surgery on January 3, but it had to be postponed. So, Happy Valentine's Day to me!
