  1. So I'm officially 1 month post op today my pain is pretty much gone at this point. However for almost the past 2 weeks my weight has been bouncing back and forth between 279&281lbs I have seen alot of people say there is no such as a stall this early on so I'm just wondering what It could be and what I have to do to change it.I'm really good at drinking the 64oz of Water per day the only thing I struggle with is those nasty Protein Shakes they make me feel nauseous.I drink the premier ones they tasted so much better before surgery...but anywho any advice is appreciated.

I am at the hell week stage, 5 days post op, miserable! Can’t wait to turn the corner!

I'm on week 3 post op I was doing pretty good up until this point for some reason this week has been challenging somewhat of a depressing week..I'll be glad when things get better for me as well

Just had surgery for VSG. Remained in hosptial x 3 days post op due to severe pain. Luckily no significant nausea, and no vomiting post op. Tolerating Fluid diet well. Voiding and stooling well. Vital signs normal.

Pain located on right side below the largest incision that was used to excise the cut out stomach. Pain occurred on movement, standing, and walking after 5 mins.....was sharp, burning, and was not relieved with pain medication (Tylenol/codeine liquid and hydromorphone liquid taken regularly ever 4-6 hrs). Pain only disappeared when at complete rest, while sitting or slightly reclined backwards with pillows behind back for support

Left hosptial still in pain on day 3 post op, but was reassured my pain was "Normal" and should disappear in time. Was told to be patient. Surgeon explained it was probably due to the internal absorbable sutures used to close muscle/incision.

I am home x 5 days...with no change in pain intensity. Still taking medication regularly which are not effective at relieving or eliminating the pain. The medication makes me drowsy so I don't move. Still Unable to stand or walk more than 5 mins at a time...because sharp burning intense pain comes on...and still the only way to find relief is to sit down with back slightly reclined backwards on pillows for support. I sleep sitting in a chair cause the pain occurs when I try to lie down

Wondering if anyone else experienced similar pain...and what they did? Not sure what to do!!! I'm very frustrated and worried something might be seriously wrong.

I was sleeved on 3/5 and experienced the same thing that pain didn't stop until literally 3/15...however i'm still experiencing some pain not as bad as it was so i'll take that

things will get better for u as time goes on...just hang in there, you got this

  5. For me this surgery was enough I have come to the realization that me and anesthesia don't get along well when I was 17 I had a breast reduction through up maybe about 2 hours after they woke me up from that procedure...then when I was sleeved on 3/5 i was sick for almost 24 hours after surgery I only vomited once but I still felt horrible the entire day...at this point I don't think I'll have too much saggy skin but if i do I'll learn to embrace it as long as I'm no longer overweight I'm happy with that

  6. I'm noticing everyday it's getting a little easier for me,learning new tricks on how to get out of bed without putting much pressure on my right side(because that what hurts most)I'm also excited because I'm already down 11 pounds and I was just sleeved on 3/5...just can't wait for that sharp pains to disappear

  7. I know everyone is different and not everyone will have the same experiences...but can anyone tell me roughly when the pain will stop completely?the incision on my right side hurts so bad like idk if it's like associated with gas or what but I've been sipping my Water and walking throughout the day it doesn't seem to be helping I spoke with my Dr who said the pain I'm experiencing is normal just want to know if there is anything else I can do or try because other than that 1 thing I feel fine...plz help any advice is appreciated

Gm all,so today is the day I'm scheduled for surgery at noon.Up until today I was hype and ready now im nervous as heck.Honestly what I'm most worried about is the anesthesia like going under. Also worried about how I'm going to feel pain wise after the fact.I'm not backing out or anything but I could use some encouragement
