  1. Thanks Fluffy! Also solid advice.
  2. That looks super simple! I'll have to try it!
  3. Ooh that’s a fabulous idea! Thanks!
  4. Glad you found someone you like and want to stick with. Was this perchance supposed to be in the surgeon reviews instead of a forum post though?
  5. Seems like I do a great job at work sticking to my healthy eating habits - greek yogurt for breakfast; P3, tuna or chicken salad for lunch; protein bar in the afternoon. Then I get home in the evening and the craving for sweets intensifies times ten! I'm sneaking handfuls of cereal, eating my daughter's granola bars, etc. I have the calories to spare usually but I need to spend them on healthier choices instead of pure sugar!
  6. Congrats and keep up the good work!
  7. I saw once the most simplest way to calculate for woman is 100 pounds at 5 ft and then add 5 pounds for every inch. So at 5'4" my ideal body weight is 120. My weight day of surgery was 202 so I had 82 pounds of excess body weight.
  8. You have to continue to sip for several weeks, perhaps even months post. I still don't tolerate ice water and ask for it room temp. I can drink warm drinks like tea and coffee a lot faster than water. I remember having a lot of dizzy spells too. They did go away at some point but I didn't notice when exactly. Hang in there! Feeling normal will return again but it does take time.
  9. A lot of exhaustion. Give yourself the opportunity to rest and don't plan anything that would over exert yourself.
  10. Sounds like what happens with me when I eat too fast or too much. And it mostly happens when I'm eating poultry or fish.
  11. Not necessarily, there is a lot of variation in surgeon's eating plans. Some progress very quickly, some much slower than others. I was on liquids for 6 weeks.
  12. It's brutal, I know. Have you looked at ordering some different liquids from the BP store? They ship it out pretty fast, you wouldn't have to wait very long for it to arrive at all. I hope you can stick with it. *hugs*
  13. Happy Birthday and congrats on your success!
  14. Some people tolerate carbonation. I don't know if it causes stretching or not but it certainly causes me discomfort. Whatever you try - seltzer water or a little wedding champagne toast - make sure you are sipping it slowly and find out how you personally tolerate it.
  15. I just don't think its necessary to take an additional supplement - all those vitamins and minerals should already be in your multivitamin. You're not likely going to cause a toxicity of any of them, but you're just wasting money on additional doses of them that you already took.
  16. I don't take Vitamin C with my multi - there is some already in there. I do take it with a (non dairy) snack to minimize nausea at bedtime. My calciums I take with breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.
  17. Remind yourself that "you know what that tastes like" or a mind trick I like to play is picturing the food being sneezed on or made with dirty hands or dropped on a gas station bathroom floor. Keep your focus. Take healthy snacks with you to those parties if they are something you MUST attend.
  18. I bought a year supply of BP One just last month! I love just having to take one multi a day! Definitely recommend!
  19. Egh. I've done that too. Not to that extreme I think but just that mindless eating and stuffing bite after bite. I hope you can get past it and it doesn't happen again.
  20. Thanks! I found them at Sam’s Club!
  21. OH man, I'm sorry to hear that. I like having peanut butter at night with my multivitamin, it keeps me from getting nauseous. So peanut butter is my friend. But because of the high calories I use PB2 - both the plain and cocoa added. If you ever feel like giving PB a second chance maybe you can try that. Good luck with your interview! Hope it goes well for you.
  22. Just keep in mind, you most likely have done in depth research about what you're about to go through. Odds are, they have not. They are going off what they heard from Oprah over 20 years ago or other pseudo "experts" out there. They're ignorant. And I do mean that to be mean, but they are, they don't know that they don't know what they're talking about.
  23. Sorry Dude. Guess we don't pay attention to the group the thread is categorized in. Unless there is a way to make it to where ONLY members registered as male can see the the Guys Only forum its going to keep happening. And even if they manage to do something like that some gender fluid member will come along and complain about it.
  24. Oh my gosh, stay diligent about it! It can awful!
  25. You can consume it if you want those benefits but do not count it towards your protein intake. It is an incomplete protein and doesn't include some of the necessary amino acids. The best protein for us is whey protein isolate and is what you want to look for when choosing a shake or powder to supplement to your food.
