  1. I take a lot of what the other posters mentioned and also P3s which you find in the lunch meat section of the store. They are really handy to grab quickly. Also lentil soup is a favorite. The Bariatric Pal store has a couple of entree options I've purchased and they're pretty good.
  2. no thats something I should look into to see if it would help out!
  3. I like to keep a couple vanilla or caramel shakes around to use as coffee creamer, but I stopped having them daily when my hunger returned and I found myself pushing the limits of my calorie intake.
  4. It's SO hard! Right now chocolate is all I can think about!
  5. What kinds of healthy sweet and salty options do you eat? I'd like to maybe keep Quest bars around for when I want chocolate but maybe thats just keeping me from detoxing completely.
  6. Egh. So disgusted with myself. At some point I nibbled on some chocolate and that just opened a gate. I've snagged a couple mini Milky Ways from my boss's desk. Had myself a small slice of rice crispy treat I was making for my daughter's Valentine's party. Ate 3 chocolates from a box of Russell Stovers in the lounge. I need to stop! HELP! Any motivation or tips on how to do so welcome!
  7. I didn’t seem like I was losing until about 6 weeks out. The first month my body was adjusting to the shock of surgery and nothing really happened. After that I was pretty consistently losing 10 pounds a month.
  8. Maybe try a toothbrush with a smaller head? Like a kid’s brush might help?
  9. Stalled right now. Still want to lose 3-10 pounds!
  10. I've gotten really lax on tracking my food intake. I've always just made sensible choices with 3 meals and 2 snacks. But now that I have the urge to snack like 5 times a day I really feel thats the best way to keep myself in check. I hate tracking food by the way. Hate it. Its measuring and calculating and just.... MATH. EGHHHH.
  11. Thanks I didn't know there were food interactions
  12. Thank you! I'll make sure he knows to stay mindful of that as a potential side effect.
  13. So my husband decided that he wants to lose weight and look better too. He went to his doctor and got a prescription for Phentermine. I never took this before my surgery and really know very little about it. I was never interested in weight loss medications so strong you need a prescription for. Does anyone have any experience they can share with me? Good or bad?
  14. Congrats on your new beginning and good luck!
  15. Gosh that sounds awful! I'm so sorry you're going through that. I'm sorry I don't have any advice but I hope you get it figured out soon,
  16. Thats great advice. However, up here in the midwest it is COLD out! I'm bundled up with a stocking cap and space heater on! I think I'm going to grab a favorite book or perhaps work on a puzzle.
  17. I'm craving either plain ol chocolate or salty pretzels. Nuts help with the pretzel craving but haven't figured out how to deal with the chocolate craving yet!
  18. I decided to buy the 17 variety pack of Syntrax Nectar. Not fond of all the flavors but at least it's something different. They are 23 grams of protein but if you make it with Fairlife milk you can boost it up to 34 grams.
  19. Six months post-op and my hunger is back. With a freaking vengeance. Maybe its because I've had a couple days off but I can't seem to get it under control. But all I can think about is the food over in my kitchen. I dunno. Even when I'm physically full I'm still craving something - a salty crunch or sweet chew. I'm going crazy! I miss the absence of hunger! It was so nice. I'm so sad.
  20. There are so many branches of BCBS it’s hard to tell. But mine came back in less than 24 hours. Hopefully you don’t have to wait long!
  21. I'm almost 6 months out and some days I go without cravings and some days they come. Usually its a craving for something sweet. I try to ignore it because I know it won't go away if I have something, I'll only want more.
  22. I worried about that too. You’ll find when you chew chew chew your food that it’s less of a problem.
  23. you seem to be off to a great start. stay thinking positive!
