    2 week liquid diet

I’ve lost 17!lbs in 12 Days. It makes the liquid diet worth sticking to!

    2 week liquid diet

I’ve made it to almost the end Of day 10/14 and haven’t cheated or killed anyone! If I can do it, anyone can! You will be most surprised by little things - like my son finished some food and gave what was left to me to throw out. Normally I would have eaten it but this is training me to rethink all those bites.
  3. You can do this! I’m finishing day 9 of 14 and once you get past day 3 you will not want to mess up your progress!

    2 week liquid diet

I have a packet of unjury powder, but I haven’t tried it yet. I’m saving it for post-op, when I’ve heard it can be hard to get all the protein in for the first few days.
  5. I’ll be sleeving in Chicagoland on 1/24 and starting my 2 week liquid pre-op diet tomorrow. I had farewell tacos and wine tonight and am prepping for work with broth and PP shakes for the rest of the week. Does anyone want to tag along on this post? We could share ideas, commiserate and hold each other accountable!
  6. Linda, if you can get it, “bone broth” has a lot more protein than regular broth - and it tastes really good! I only have a couple of cups of broth on mine by choice - the shakes and tea really fill me up and the jello is great when you want to chew something!

    2 week liquid diet

I’m on Day 8 of 14 all liquid. Premier Protein is great! I’m allowed 4 shakes a day but sometimes I only have 3. I drink a lot of herbal tea and “bone broth” to escape the sweetness of the shakes and sf jello. You can do it!
  8. I’m really ready. I have a close friend who is a year post op and seeing her go through the experience really inspired me. You can totally do the pre-op diet!

    Day 2 - Liquid Diet.

Your mileage may vary depending on your doc - my program is fine with coffee and tea in the pre-surgery diet (no cream) and advises to limit caffeine post-op to avoid dehydration. If you can, may I recommend using Premier Protein Caramel shake as your cream substitute. It's really good!
  10. Hi Linda! I'm on day 7 of my pre-op liquid diet (4 shakes and broth/liquids/jello) - how are you doing?

    Day 1 of liquid diet

How are you doing? I’m on day 6 of 14 and am being very strict. I’ve lost 10 lbs (probably water but still!) and I’ve noticed it’s curing me of the BLTs (bites, licks and tastes) I usually do with my kids’ food. I’m glad I’m doing it, it’s good preparation for post-op!

    Where are you gonna go?

I’m going to take my kids to Six Flags and any other theme park they want because I’ll be able to ride all of the roller coasters!

    Day 1 of liquid diet

I started liquid diet today! My surgery is 1/24. I’m hanging on but have a feeling this will be a loooong 2 weeks!
  14. My “last meal” was tonight - I got “luxury tacos” from a great place in our neighborhood and had a horchata Rice Krispie and half a piece of cake. Plus red wine, which I will dearly miss!

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

Ahhh we are a lot alike! My surgery is the 24th, I’m hoping to go back to work (seated office) on Monday after surgery. I’m also a social wine and beer drinker and am planning for a big change in that habit! I’m telling my boss that I’m having stomach surgery - only my husband, kids and a few friends know “the truth.”

    Starting to think about clothes

ThredUP works - especially if you want to clean your closet. I would also recommend GwynnieBee, it’s like Netflix for clothing, you pay a flat monthly fee and can rent clothes. It’s great for trying out different sizes and brands, and if you want to keep something you can purchase it.

    popsicles, yes or no?

My friend had VSG a year ago and swears by the sugar free popsicles! She still has them as a staple in her new diet. I’m sure your mileage may vary, but I’m planning on having them around pre and post op.
