Ok...this comment is sure to bring out the haters, but I eat out about once or twice a week. Fast food and sit down. I'm 13 months out and 110lbs down.
Fast food is usually a quarter pound patty - no bread. I order the small fries and eat about 5 (or I steal a few from the kids)
Breakfast - side of eggs, side of sausage (eat about half the sausage)
Last night for dinner I had about 2/3 of a Sonic cheese coney dog (regular size not the footlong)
Regardless of what I eat...I stay within my calories and prioritize my Protein.
I also workout 6 times a week and take my transformation very seriously and I continue to lose because I am committed to losing weight and committed to not going backwards. If I started to gain...I would cut it out immediately.

If you really like him, I think you need to be honest. Deception destroys relationships.

When I meet a man via a dating site and all of his pictures he has hair, but there’s a nearly bald guy sitting in the coffee shop, I feel betrayed. The hair doesn’t matter. The deception does. And since he damaged trust, I don’t go out with him again. (Sometimes these guys look hotter without the hair. Doesn’t matter.)

    Matt,
I am so sorry to hear this. In 2013 at the age of 47 I had 2 cardio vascular events, the 1st resulted in 2 stents inserted in my right main artery. 5 months later I started feeling the same shortness of breath, pain that started in my chest, then radiated into my jaw. I went to emergency, where after another angio-gram, I was told my left main artery was 80% blocked. They called this the 'widow maker'. I was devastated. How could this happen after only 5 months, I was so young. They did another angioplasty, and inserted 2 more stents in the left main. I was off work for a total of 9 months, did extensive cardio-rehab, and today I am 3 days post -op from RNY bypass. One of the 1st things I asked, in recovery was "did I have a heart attack?"
I understand your disappointment, but your Dr is right. Let's make your heart stronger, so you can have the best results once you do have your surgery. This is not a step back, it is just an unexpected Detour towards a new future. Wishing you nothing but the best.

You know i'm sitting here hollering right? You have a similar sense of humor to mine....I know the beginning is going to be terrible and I know I will probably get depressed. I mean the fact that my family is downstairs right now eating spaghetti and I'm sitting here drinking this chalky Premier Protein for dinner already sucks but you have to start somewhere. I just have to tough out the initial stages and then reap the benefits moving forward.

My doctor told me to wait for 4 months, and then that i needed to live my life. SO i am able to drink wine, and whiskey with 15 calorie minute maid juices, (lemonade, fruite punch, or mango passionfruit) with no issue. The biggest hurdle for me was giving up beer, because i LOVED it. But i got over that. I have had a few beers over the last couple months, but its very filling so cant do much. Wine or whisky you can pretty much drink however much i want.
She told me that it would be difficult to never drink again if you did before and are around people that do. And to be honest, now it takes maybe four drinks ( i mix a shot and a half with about 24 ounces of juice, so i get very hydrated), or 2-3 glasses of wine and thats all i need.

She told me to start 30 days out. So for the most part i went like this:
Monday - Friday i made homemade choc Protein Powder smoothie with skim milk and cold brew coffe and crushed ice.
Somedays i would have liquid diet for lunch but not always if i was hungry.
I would have a sensible dinner with some kind of grilled meat and a green veggie

Sat - Sun i ate whatever the f*** i wanted, and drank alcohol.

I lost 12 pounds doing that.

Day before surgery I had a bowl of Pasta, my kryptonite.

Doctor said my liver looked fine and surgery went great. And since surgery iv lost over 50 pounds because i just cant eat very much. 6 months out i can eat pretty much anything i want, i just dont eat much of it. But i still try to eat sensible monday through friday and the scale keeps dropping 2-3 pounds a week.
