That's sooooo AWESOME!!! Congratulations!!! I'm 22 lbs out from ONEderland!! I cannot wait to post my own message about hitting it!!

I've been cleaning out my closet for the last 2 months. Did it this week again. My closet only has 1/3 being used. I don't feel like shopping just yet cause I want to buy smaller clothes. I have a lot of smaller sizes now due to my post lap band surgery. But yesterday I hit one pound below my lowest with lap band! I feel like if I were to shop, I'd be "settling" at where I am. One or two newbie clothes but I'm holding off for the major shopping spree. Also, have you noticed your shoes getting really big? I'll be so happy to buy new shoes - shoe fanatic here!

The Goodwill has been my friend. I got 4 pair of jeans for less than $20.00 :) When these get too big, I won't mind donating them back at all lol.. And yes, I've got extra room for my toes in all my shoes :) happy happy !

Good Morning!!! I as sleeved 12/7/17 from surgery I am down 34 lbs. Does any one have any tips that will help me lose more? I have been at the same weight for the past almost 2 weeks. If anyone has any ideas I would be greatly appreciative!!!

Hi... the only thing I do is go back to pureed stage for a few days.. it usually works to break a plateau.

  3. Doctor's appt today.. wish me luck.. My doctor has been known to be really hard on his patients, so far, he's been fair to me, but I'm afraid he may not be as pleased with my loss since my last visit :( By my calculations, I've lost 40 pounds since surgery and 10 in the weeks from the date it was scheduled.. Thats 50 pds total loss in just less than 4 months. I should be pleased even if he isnt. right?? :)

Sleeved on the 7th December....and 48lbs down! Dropped from a UK dress size 22 to UK 18.

Family are really starting to notice now (although don’t know about the sleeve) - colleagues not so much!

I would like to think that I am right on target with you then, I was sleeved on 12-5, down 46 pounds :) Keep up the good work .. slow and steady wins the race!

hi sleeve buddies :) good to see how people are doing...

I've been doing okay since the surgery until last week when i got the flu. Only being able to take liquid gels with tylenol in them wasn't as hard core as I would have been with Advil or Aleve..and liquid Tamiflu is awful.

I'm most upset that I haven't been able to exercise or go to the gym and it will be awhile before I get back there with this horrible chest cough. Oh well...

how is everyone else doing? anyone settle into an eating window? I'm finding I do a lot better if I don't eat until I'm hungry mid morning and eat in that 8 hour or so window...got me out of my stall too...

Hi Jeannie.. been a while since my last post.. looks like you're doing great to me.. Ive hit a stall myself.. been stuck on 204 about a week now.. Today, I decided to go back to yogurt, cottage cheese and very soft foods to try to break it... I can't go that long without eating something every couple of hours.. I get this yucky sick feeling if I go too long. But a new faithful commitment to the gym will help I'm sure ;) Sounds like you have a good excuse to have been skipping , I dont. lol Hope you get over the flu quickly.. and continued good luck wishes to you!

  6. It was a month out for me on the 5th, As of today, I've lost 23 pds since surgery, 33 since it was scheduled mid-Nov. I don't weigh everyday anymore because that only frustrated me to not see a pound dropped everyday. I only continue to follow the plan (yay for soft foods!!) and weigh about every 3 days or so. Theres almost always a pound off by then. And soo glad to see I'm not the only one exhausted by 8 pm. I'm a night owl soo this has really been life changing. lol... I attribute it to the lack of caffeine in my life. :( but I do feel much better overall. And not getting up 3 or 4 times a night to go potty has been awesome!! Usually only once or not at all now! I'm sleeping MUCH better and waking up feeling alive!

Tomorrow 1:00 28th Thursday the day! . I am starting to rethink..... Today was just, Water, broth, Isopur.Has anyone used Isopur as a clear liquid the day before surgery?

Another question.. I can’t stop sneezing. I am afraid this might burst my stitches :/. Yikes.. I hope I can take liquid Benadryl. I don’t want to sneeze. I am going rouge tomorrow. Getting dropped off at 11.. do you need anyone with you before you go into surgery?

My gut instincts say this is right. I just feel a little nervous, have anxiety.

well if any of my fellow sleevers have any advice love to hear your comments.

Hope you are all doing well. Thank God for this forum. It’s lonely out here.

Best Wishess to all for a Happy Healthy New Years..... forever. 🥂🍾To our new life! cheers

Hi SKF, hope youre surgery was complication free :) and your sneezing has subsided somewhat.. I didnt really have any abdominal suture issues and only minimal pain.. the only pain that I remember was the gas pain and that is only alleviated by walking. SO walk as much as you possibly can today..and you will feel tons better ! I promise. MY doctor made me (and the other 2 girls walk every hour. so many laps around the floor. We all wound up walking together. That was encouraging as well.. The nurses and techs had to notate how many rounds we did. It really helped. The nausea I experienced was temporary, so try to push through it if you see yourself suffering the same. Good Luck on your journey.

  8. Hey everyone.... whew.... what an adventure this has been so far :) had my first post op visit today, Sooo thought I was going to move to a stage where I can have cottage cheese ( right out of the container) nope. bubble burst! BUT, I have lost 23 pounds (this includes the 10 I lost in the 3 weeks before surgery. SOOOO YAY!! celebration time! LOL sort of. I wore a pair of pants I havent been able to wear before ..sweeetttt! Doc moved me on to stage 2 which is all pureed (must be consistency of applesauce) or liquid. (I'll live). Protein Shake supplement to remain the same 30-50 grams a day. Looking forward to progressing in a positive direction with all of you :) stay strong!

What diet is everyone allowed to advance to at 3 weeks post op? Comparing notes...I'll ..

I'll be 3 weeks post op tomorrow, and still on full liquids till my first post op appt on this Thursday. Hopefully, that appt will see me be able to advance to the pureed diet stage. applesauce, baby food consistency, cottage cheese will be my "go-to" food,

welcome to the forum :) i'm pretty new too and the board has been a great source of info for me..

I had a similar thought yesterday about why i did this around the holidays as it's not like I'm way ahead on shopping or anything and there's so much to do ...not even thinking about the food. My sister took me to get my nails done today and I was excited to hear the holiday music..and then realized that I usually have it on while I do a lot of my christmas cookie baking (which is obviously not happening this year)...tomorrow I'm going to put my music on and try to get myself into it a bit more..

I had mine on 12/7 and really hoping on the 20th he moves me off of fluids. I would love to have some Jello right now -- the popsicles are keeping me going. did you have a pre-op liquid plan?

HI Jeannie, I only had one day of pure liquid pre-op, The day before surgery. I was told to lose 6 pds and report to the office the day before to weigh in... if I had not lost 6 pds he would have to reschedule. I lost 10. Just sensible eating and doing what I should have done all along. I probably wouldve cancelled if I had done 2 weeks of full liquids before. LOL

Hi friend! Had mine done on Dec 4th!!! 10 days post op! I’ve been battling too with the holidays. Although I’m not hungry, I’m craving all the yumminess I can’t have lol. The full liquid diet blows, however I was moved to the next step and I can eat scrambled eggs, cheese, mashed potatoes, tuna, avocados, and cream of wheat. Unfortunately, my stomach is have a really hard time with any of the dairy or eggs at this point. The only thing I ate that didn’t make me miserable is the cream of wheat. Other that that I’m struggling to come up with like a meal plan throughout the day. But I’m down 21lbs!!! Woooo!!!

Never thought I would be saying this, but I honestly cannot wait till I can have cream of wheat and cottage cheese. And I could totally live off of acocados alone Yummo!! Lol

And thank you for the encouragement. I'm jealous tho, my Doc says liquid diet til our first post op visit. Which is not till Thursday. (7 more days:(

  12. My sleeve was done December 5, I'm 9 days post op. So glad I found this forum, I need the support of some fellow "sleevers". First of all, WHAT was I thinking when I decided to do this around the Holidays?? Talk about miserable. LOL>. But yes, I know come next year, I will be smarter and in a much better frame of mind. So for now, I'll just watch all my coworkers, family and friends enjoy all the goodies and gain weight, while I lose ...right:) I'm new to the forum, as of today and welcome any hints, tips, and good advice anyone can offer. This full liquid diet is a struggle but thankfully there is Miso Soup and no sugar added fruit bar popsicles to save my life. sugar free Jello and broth just suck. Good luck everyone , and lets help each other :)
