LuckyXIII got a reaction from FluffyChix in Intro time: who's new to the group, who's pre-op, & who just recently made it to the loser's bench?
Hello, I just joined.
Yesterday was my first appointment with the nutritionist. I still need to make an appointment with the psycologist and attend some group meetings. Since I can only meet with the nutritionist once a month and I have three more appointments to go, I won't be having the surgury until the spring. I don't know how many apts I need with the psych. I have been reading through all of the paperwork that I've been given so far. Anyone who calls getting surgery the 'easy way out' has no clue!

Congrats!!! The process is definitely annoying but so worth it! You're lucky your insurance only requires just a few diet classes. It varies from person to person. You'll do fine with the eval too, don't stress. I personally found it to be more useful after surgery, because you learn why you were eating the way you were before and learn how to control it which i needed. And it was nice because when i do need more help, i can always go back to that person if needed. Best of luck to you, you'll do great!
