My name is Joanna

I normally type way too much and give documentary type introductions, (trust me) so I will keep this short. sweet and say

A lot in my life has changed

Including my recent sleeve surgery. I didn't get the surgery to be skinny to be able to date again. I did it to be healthy and feel sexy again. And I haven't dated, in....... many years. I am a widow. And I had 10 wonderful years with my late husband. But it's been over three years and my life is changing and Id like to try again, try dating. No, not dating, I don't know how that would even go.. Maybe just go out, ? Is that what it's called? I don't know if 39 year olds date?

Anyways. I think this is bordering on me lying with my "I'm not going to do a lengthy intro and stop

I'm a christian, a mother of a 18 and 16 year old, neither live at home. Oh and my dog. Rocky. He's here to stay.

Hi Everyone

I'm Joanna. Nice to meet you all.

I am undergoing the waiting period for my surgery which is Dec 11 2017. I am on day 4 of my preop, which began on Nov 27. Today's Nov 30 and when I weighed in today at the doctors, same scale same location, I've lost 14 pounds. Super exciting. But I am struggling. I HATE these Protein Drinks. It's also hard for me to believe everyone is following this preop to the T. I have so far but I've so badly wanted to put a slice of cheese on my salad. I'm allowed one meal. And I'm pretty hungry but not as bad as it could be. I guess we can't have it all, ya know? The new "us" will come at a price.

Anyways, I just wanted to hear anyone who's had their surgery already and who have any tips on how to survive this period and also the period immediately after surgery.

On my birthday, I had no cake, and no REAL meal lol.. If that's not dedication, I don't know what is. Lol. I also quit smoking 4 months ago, 2 1/2 pack a day smoker,and have smoked for 23 years. I'm still youngish enough to benefit from it now. I could ramble on and on. Sorry. Nice to meet you all. Looking to make new friends.
