I feel at this point, I will be that elite group of surgery peeps who will lose in total 50 pounds and that the surgery will fail on me. ugh Congrats. I'm happy for you. Really Lol What is your name. My nameis Joanna, nice to meet you I am going to the gym NOW(post reading your weight now) so thanks Lol haha

  5. If you have two protein drinks Orion a day, that along will run you about 500 or so calories, then add in some chicken and other protein, its easy.. And I'm "seriously" not freaking out about the stall. I am concerned though I don't wan to do anything wrong. Keep in mind you've had some months to learn the normal and not normal scenerios and I'm only (not even ) one month post op surgery, so pls, as frustrating as it is to read concerns from people who have had had it long after you did, try to show a tad more restraint on snubbing your nose, please

    Happily Sleeved

Pretty disgusting huh, but it's where I was at and whereIam. My journey. I don't look the same with makeup as I do without it.But third picture is a recent with makeup My goal is not specially a number as it is, I want to feel good again. I don't want to have a pretty face, but have to crop a photo. I want to be around for grandbabies someday. I want to live I was fat before, when i was 17 and i lost a ton of weight, a hundred pounds from my junior year to my senior year and into my early 20s. I then went back to my old habits, got pregnant twice and over the years, gained higher than I was at my highest in in my junior year (275lbs) It's had a lot to do with I never dealt with my demons. I am a crime victim and without giving a ton of detail on this social media site, I never dealt with it and in the last 2 years I did. They finally caught my attacker after 23 years (my attack was in 1991, home invasion) Long story short, therapy has saved my life and this surgery is helping me to match up my outside to how I feel inside

Hey Everyone My name is Joanna I normally type way too much and give documentary type introductions, (trust me) so I will keep this short. sweet and say A lot in my life has changed Including my recent sleeve surgery. I didn't get the surgery to be skinny to be able to date again. I did it to be healthy and feel sexy again. And I haven't dated, in....... many years. I am a widow. And I had 10 wonderful years with my late husband. But it's been over three years and my life is changing and Id like to try again, try dating. No, not dating, I don't know how that would even go.. Maybe just go out, ? Is that what it's called? I don't know if 39 year olds date? Anyways. I think this is bordering on me lying with my "I'm not going to do a lengthy intro and stop I'm a christian, a mother of a 18 and 16 year old, neither live at home. Oh and my dog. Rocky. He's here to stay.

Friends are great If you want to add me on Fb, you can. My name is Joanna Burrell, and Im in Texas. Good luck on y our journey. Yes, you will have tough days ahead. But look how far you've come. We deserve a standing ovation? How long was your preop diet? That in of itself is worthy of praise Sugar free jello, broth, etc.. C'mon! Lol Hugs

P.s. I never want to "date" again. That word scares me. I dno't know how to date Hanging out, eating dinner together, grocery shopping together, working out at the gym together, and competing on who lost more in that week. What we think of so and so on Facebook, sharing opinions of stuff going on in the news, the world. I don't miss dating. I miss companionship I miss conversations with depth

I completely understand why you say that It's kinda like you're undergoing therapy (therapy for yoru body) To date too soon, it would be a relationship or disaster waiting to happen. Almost like a rebound thing, if that makes sense. I completely get it. I see all these cute hot guys at my gym and even though I'm fat, my personality seems to make guys like me and laugh at me. And it buffs up my ego and esteem. I like to make people laugh in general, and i love to laugh too, so being around people like that make me happy. Sorry, I'm severly ADHD, What is the point of where I am going? Dating too soon, I get it Besides, what you're attracted to now, will change later You may be pickier ( bc you will be able to) Just stay as nice as you seem to be now, okay. I will too Great thing for our future boyfriend/girlfriends? We'll be a really cheap date (on food) And... two gastric people date, they could share an appetizer for dinner and bring it home in a doggy bag for days Bahaha Do you do facebook? Would you like to be my friend? If not, we can chit chat here. It's fun to talk with someone who has a mind and can contribute to conversation with ease lol Hugs

Lol Matty I am doing a lot better.. I was in pain, PAIN, but it's getting easier . Like they said it would ( I didn't believe it . By week 2, I thought to myself, Hmm Joanna, you've always wondered how you were going to die, and now you know, You're going to die from this dang surgery ) So painful, but look at you, Mr/Ms. Big shot. You had the gastric bypass, the big one, what about you? Are you in pain? That's a dumb question, of course you are. What I meant was, how much pain? My name is Joanna, real name. Nice to meet you

    Factor Five-Blood Clots

I completely feel you My late husband died from blood cots and preventably so.. When I had my surgery I made sure to ask for blood thinners. I barked when my insurance said they woudlnt cover the cost. I got them but only like 2week supply. So that is what I got.. It's a good question to post here bc I am curious as well. Thank you

    Curious

I'm in my second week and already feel I can't eat more than they said I should -4 tablespoons (purred) 4 times a day. Are you or were you guys able to eat that much, at only 2 1/2 weeks out Also, how much weight did you lose by your third week, beginning from surgery date? My surgery date I was 321. I am now 305. and in two days it will be three weeks. But I think I should have lost more than 16 pounds. Can you share what you guys lost?

This goes for all of you above Warning, I am extremely outspoken and honest on my wall and I'm, well, I'm not for everyone but some love me lol Anyways, about that weight lifting thing. I've been miserable. Because you know how they say you can't lift more than 10 pounds first week then 20 pounds second week.. Well All i've been able to do is cardio and this sucks. Does that weight thingy apply to all weight lifting, and what about leg with weights? Ugh..

@ Bariatric Hero. You're so funny. I just read your second post.. Lol @ the cohort People can be real a*****e-ish, very insensitive. I have a tendency to say too much, habitually honest but I'm working on the concept, that you see be honest and be quiet Lol

    Lol Jess .. you're funny
  23. Hi Everyone I'm Joanna. Nice to meet you all. I am undergoing the waiting period for my surgery which is Dec 11 2017. I am on day 4 of my preop, which began on Nov 27. Today's Nov 30 and when I weighed in today at the doctors, same scale same location, I've lost 14 pounds. Super exciting. But I am struggling. I HATE these protein drinks. It's also hard for me to believe everyone is following this preop to the T. I have so far but I've so badly wanted to put a slice of cheese on my salad. I'm allowed one meal. And I'm pretty hungry but not as bad as it could be. I guess we can't have it all, ya know? The new "us" will come at a price. Anyways, I just wanted to hear anyone who's had their surgery already and who have any tips on how to survive this period and also the period immediately after surgery. On my birthday, I had no cake, and no REAL meal lol.. If that's not dedication, I don't know what is. Lol. I also quit smoking 4 months ago, 2 1/2 pack a day smoker, and have smoked for 23 years. I'm still youngish enough to benefit from it now. I could ramble on and on. Sorry. Nice to meet you all. Looking to make new friends. Thank you Joanna
