Just look for recipes online. Search for South Beach Diet phase one recipes. They're low carb

The times before I tried dieting, south beach diet worked best for me. Maybe give it a try before your surgery. Just keep going it'll be worth it!

My Dr. didnt ask me to lose weight prior to the surgery. Not even pre-op diet, but every doctor is different.

I went for my first appointment one day, he ordered blood tests, xray, etc. And went back to his office the following week. I scheduled the surgery for 3 weeks after that because of work.

Yes they will give you pain meds, and you'll feel ok once they kick in. Just make sure you take them as your doctor advises you to, I tried to be brave and go without the pain meds but I now realize how unnecessary that was :)

Hi! For me the first 3 days were very very uncomfortable with a pain of 6/10. The day of my surgery was friday and went home sunday afternoon. I thought I'd be healing faster but I'm on day 6 and still don't feel like I could go to work or drive. The pain is still like a 5/10 but I feel very veey uncomfortable because I have a drainage which will be removed tomorrow. BUT I'm not the slightest bit hungry, i've been drinking plenty of fluids and have lost 9 pounds since the surgery. So it is tough, but I'm sure in the long run it's totally worth it.
