You're worrying unnecessarily. Due to your lower starting weight, you're unlikely to lose rapidly like the super morbidly obese folks on My 600-Pound Life.
You probably won't see daily losses, so stay off the scale and allow your body to sort out the trauma it's just experienced.
You gained 0.5 pounds, but it isn't fat. To gain 0.5 pounds of fat, you'd need to have overeaten approximately 1,750 calories. Given your current condition, that's impossible.
Stay off the scale until your 1-month post-op appointment. Good luck to you.

Had my mini gastric bypass Dec 6th. Doing well. Puree food stage. Walked a lot which really helped and just focused on getting Water in. Lost 11 pounds even though that isn't the focus right now. It's still nice. Trying to heal up the best I can. It was all worth it.

I'm going in for my surgery in 24 mins!!! I'm excited and nervous and just ready. It's a mini gastric bypass and not the roux n y. But being a newish (1997) procedure there aren't as many people doing this one. I have a headache and didn't sleep well but soon I will be asleep and when I wake up i will be on my new adventure.

I'm day 1. Surgery was yesterday. I was in a lot of pain and nausea when I woke up. Mostly left sided gas pain from being pumped with air. Nausea from meds has gone away after anti nausea meds and time. I'm just walking as much as possible to get that gas pain out. Lots of burping which helps too. I think day of surgery waking up was the worst. I'm already better. Even at my worst point I am still glad I did it and would do it again.

Oh girl, I went to do some Christmas shopping at the mall today. Three days post op. Passed a Johnny Rockets at the food court and it smelled ahhmazing. Went to the first store and they gave me a coupon for Johnny Rockets. Nbd, gave it to my MIL. Next store, the cashier started talking about Johnny Rockets and how we should go grab a milkshake after our shopping. It was a freaking conspiracy, I swear.

But, don’t worry. I sipped my Water and persevered on. And shout out to my MIL who probably really wanted Johnny Rockets but didn’t make it weird or say a damn thing.

I’m 2 days post op and i jus wanna lick the sauce on a pizza. I feel like I’m an addict that’s in rehab for an drug addiction. Guess food was my addiction. I’m def havin withdrawal feelings like I’m missin my drug. But i know it’s for the greater good of my health why i chose to break this addiction. Goodbye Binge eating! Goodbye Emotional eating! I’m excited to have a Protein Shake tomorrow [emoji51]

Hi all! My surgery is scheduled for December 6th....and I'm feeling all the feels everyone else is! I'm thankful I only have to do the liquid diet starting at noon the day before.
