  1. Hey Guys my name is Rhonda and I’m new to this group. My surgery is January 03, 2018 @ 5:30 A.M. and I’m a ball of nerves right now trying to remember everything that I need to bring with me for this day. Anyone has any feedback that they could give me?IMG_0001.thumb.JPG.29f44597f645be9253042c9b7cfd3121.JPG

  2. hi all - great to read how everyone is doing [emoji4] for those with the BM issues, TMI but here goes lol - I did not have to clear everything out before my surgery..and I was doing great and feeling great - sleeved 12/7 and then 2 weeks to the day, had some pain because things were just not coming out easily...not a good day. then the following day, 12/21 was not fun either in that it was sort of the runs but painful again in a different way. Those two days were rougher than the surgery for me..since then, I've been fine but have only gone once normally since then and I'm a little nervous ...I bought some Miralax the other day and also bought some Fiber gummies. Have to ask the NUT if it's okay to take those.
sorry for anyone grossed out by this post lol!
keep up the great work everyone! Ihit 20lbs down today! [emoji4]

Hey it’s okay to take the Miralax but don’t know about the gummies I was told I could take Miralax!!

  3. Hi all, I just walked in the door from discharge about an hour ago. I really wanted to post because as I was pre-op and reading forums it was pretty scary (for the most part) about the immediate after of surgery. I'm guessing it's like many things, people only post when they have an issue.
My surgery and post op have been nearly amazing; I had a full bypass and hernia repair yesterday via laparoscopic procedure, December 6th at around 9:00am and so far everything has been pretty darn good. There really isn't a great deal of pain to speak of, consuming the small amounts of liquid is an adjustment but easy enough. I've already had one full Premier Protein shake today spaced out at around 15 minute intervals and walked about an 1/8th of a mile yesterday and 1/4 today while in the hospital. I'm not experiencing terrible gas pains or heavy nausea. Truly, the worst pain I've had was from urinating yesterday afternoon when the catheter was removed and that's pretty much better today.
I know this is a journey, I know the potential for issues and opportunities will certainly arise from this new lifestyle but for me and I'm certain others don't be alarmed by the post op stories, everyone's experience is different and mine has been amazingly low pain / low stress.
    Good luck!

This really helps me I’m having my surgery Wednesday morning Nd I’m so nervous

  4. I'm December 27th. My husband has off that week, so I will be flying from Philadelphia to San Diego on my clear Fluid diet, on Christmas Day  - dreading that part, lol, but it was my choice.
Definitely though, just talk with them and go with your gut - while you still have one ~ haha! Let me know how it goes, & good luck! Maybe we'll end up down there at the same time [emoji4]

Congratulations same day as me I’m excited and nervous [emoji45]

  5. Hey readytorunagain -

I've followed the plan my team set for me, get my Protein in every day, walk 30 minutes every day, try to get over 10K steps each day. I started the Couch25K program after one month and I'm almost through it. I keep working my program and it's not always easy but every day is a new day to do it right!
