What does your typical day look like?

I eat 3 meals a day with a small "dessert" which is typically fruit. My restriction is definitely strong so when I do eat, i can only have a couple of bites before i'm full. I have to eat every 4-5 hours otherwise my tummy starts to hurt. Here are just some of the things I eat. Breakfast (7:30-8am): protein shake & coffee/1 egg and half a piece of toast/ 4 broccoli and cauliflower tater tots. Lunch (noon-1pm): Chicken salad w/ cucumbers for dipping/chicken soup/slice of Turkey wrapped with cheese & a pickle. Dinner (5-6pm): 3 bean chili/ deconstructed "tacos"/chicken stir fry Dessert (8pm): half a mandarin orange/ watermelon/cherries Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

Is it too easy to drink my water?

You're just lucky! I can drink water with no problem too. I can even take big gulps. I can't get the full 64oz yet but that's because I get so full. I wouldn't worry about it tho! You're doing great Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. If I had to choose between 1. Them opening me up and they may or may not be able to do the surgery or 2. Having to reschedule but unsure if my insurance would cover it... I'd choose option 1. Stick to liquids and keep pushing forward! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  4. You know your body better than anyone. If you believe something is wrong, keep pushing until someone hears you out.... that's what I would tell a future wls patient. After surgery my surgeon's team wouldn't believe me when I said something was wrong until a month later and they found out I had pneumonia, partially collapsed lung and Fluid around the lungs. 5. I'm so upset right now that i'm on and off crying. I've been telling my surgeon's team that something isn't right and i'm having a hard time breathing. Their response was to walk more. I finally had enough when I throw up due to walking that I told them to do additional testing or refer me to someone else. They did some CT scans and noticed I had an infection in my left lung. If they listened to me sooner I would be feeling better by now instead of barely getting by. The surgical team also refused me half days at work because they believed I was fine. I'm now getting more half days at work because of this. My surgeon is great but his team.... ughhh. Sorry, rant over. Just so upset. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Staaaaallllll.

I hate the foamies too! So I definitely understand. I wish sugar & carbs made me sick. So far the only good that's made me really sick was a Turkey burger! Gave me a really bad case of the foamies... I hope you start losing soon. I just think you need to switch things up a bit. Have you tried reaching out to your NUT? Staaaaallllll.

It could merit therapy, especially if you decide to act upon it. Therapy is a good thing. I do therapy and its helped tremendously. Something to think about IF you get to that point. Eating more doesn't equate to gaining weight if you're eating the right foods. Your body needs nourishment. There are a lot of us who eat 1200+ calories & lose weight. That's because our bodies aren't in starvation mode. Sorry if my tips didn't help. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. I have a cup every now and then... but only 8oz. I don't mind a little empty calories sometimes. I only drink coffee when i'm sick of water. It's probably one every two weeks I'll have a cup. I hate coffee breath & was never a big coffee drinker before surgery either. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Staaaaallllll.

1000 calories seems pretty low. Your body could be in starvation mode. Have you thought about increasing your calorie intake with more veggies & protein? What's your current eating habit? Other than walking, are you exercising? Stalls happen, but if your way of thinking is "if I don't lose weight I'll eat whatever I want" you might want to talk to a therapist or counselor. SMH

Omg! LOVE this! I'll add to this too... people who freak out about a week stall. *eye roll* keep following the plan you were given and you'll be fine! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Has anyone heard the foamies ALL day?? Doesn't matter if I'm eating or not. I just produce a foam in my mouth all day. I have to spit it out and that's a little inconvenient at work. This just started 2 days ago. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    ALL DAY foamies

It's weird... it stopped today. If it continues I'll reach out to my doc & keep you posted [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. Congrats on your weight loss success! You may have gained a little but you recognize the problem and you're catching it before it's an even bigger issue. Definitely track calories and reduce carbs. Maybe switch a meal with a protein shake. You can do this! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Low Blood Sugar

I don't understand why keeps avoid carbs so much. Carbs are an important staple in our diets. In moderation. I'd do what the doc says! Hopefully that'll help your energy. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Don't pray for me

I don't believe in any religion but if someone says they'll pray for me I say thank you. They're not imposing their belief on me. Instead they're going out of their way to think of me in my time of need. Honestly, I think you might be a little... uptight. No reason to get offended or upset. That's a waste of energy. 18. I'm the same way. I do try to take my time but if I forget and eat/drink too quickly I don't really have any discomfort. I'm taking it as a blessing. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Working after Gastric bypass

I agree... I can't imagine working after 2 days. I was barely alive I swear lol honestly you need to be prepared for any outcome. I'm 5 weeks post op and was diagnosed with pneumonia that was picked up in the hospital. I'm on antibiotics and STILL recovering. I hope everything goes well for you but 2days.... that's really not enough time. Most desk workers take at least a week. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. I need to invest in sundresses so that they do last! My jeans are falling off me. I'm not going to buy new ones until end of summer/fall. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
