  1. I had bypass on 4/23/18. My starting weight was 340lbs. I'm currently 221lbs. That's a total weight loss of 119lbs! I honestly can't tell you a time I remember being this small my entire life. I'm so happy!

    First goal: 250lbs

    Second goal: 225lbs

    Third goal: 199lbs ...*pending*

    Final goal: 160-170lbs

I never worked out until this month. These last 22lbs until onederland are stubborn. I'm also doing Keto and intermittent fasting.

This surgery changed my life. I'm almost positive I would be closer to 400lbs by now if I didn't have this surgery. CollageMaker_20190124_070613949.jpeg

  2. Forgot to say on this thread: thank you for inspiring me to just go for it and rock the pixie!! I style it a little differently vs how it looked at the salon, but I like the before and after pics she took for comparison!!image-0.00202655792236328.thumb.jpg.5d519ae26f73a0fbb8c6be46213986f8.jpg

  3. Hello to all! Newbie here...You all are so inspiring! I'm doing my pre-op liquid diet for 3 weeks. It's frustrating but I will continue to push forward. My surgery date is January 24 2019.

  4. I'm in the middle of bad Hair loss right now. Every time I run my fingers through my hair a few strands come out, and it comes out..not quite in clumps, but a ton whenever I wash my hair (every 3-4 days). I don't have bald spots (yet) and my hair was ridiculously thick to start with, so it's not showing much and seems to be coming from all over my scalp rather than a specific spot, but it still feels bad. I started increasing my Protein intake, and am taking Biotin and l-lysine. How long did the hair loss last for those of you who went through it? I'm worried it'll keep on like this forever, every time I don't eat enough protein or something, and I'll end up looking like I have mange. When did it start growing back in?
My hair started to grow back in literally immediately. It kinda pissed me off! For some reason when I had long hair all I did was lose it. I shave my head and BOOM growth.

  5. Wow, it’s growing in SO CUTE! This is how I want to cut my hair and how I’ve wanted it for like a decade but I’ve been nervous that with my hair so much thinner it wouldn’t look good. Are you finding that the losses are visible when it’s growing back in? Or not really?
I can't even tell where the losses were previously but it's probably because I shaved my entire head lol

  6. Thank you everyone for your support and compliments! I'm not 100% a fan on my hair right now but it's coming along.

I started losing my hair about 3-4 months after surgery. Honestly, it was my fault. I got sick after surgery and could barely eat. I didn't keep up with my Protein and Vitamins either. I lost a good portion of my hair within a month span. When I say I just a bald spot, I mean it was so bad that a top hair piece couldn't even cover it. I had no choice but to shave my head.

I wore a wig at work and no one noticed. I hated these last 3 months but i'm happier now. Hair loss
It'll be okay! Make sure you're keeping up with your vitamins, eating enough and getting in that protein!!! I was not.

  7. I'm at 234lbs... I didn't lose anything in November and half way through December i'm only a pound down. I've been in a stall for a month and a half. Old eating habits are starting to creep back in & I'm scared. I think i'm going to reach out to a therapist & a nutritionist. I don't want this opportunity I've been given to go to waste. I'm a total of 106lbs down & that's amazing. I never thought I'd be this far! But i'm ready to lose more. I want to hit onderland!

  8. Long story short, I shaved my head due to MASSIVE Hair loss after bypass. I was losing clumps of hair every day and had a very obvious bald spot. I bought a hair topper wig to cover it with but it only helped for 2 weeks before it no longer covered the growing baldness. So I said screw it.... and shaved my entire head!

I feel empowered. It's something I've always wanted to do.

I'm also 248lbs currently! My starting weight was 340lbs. Worth the hair loss

  9. I know it doesn't last very long... but with the amount I'm losing... I won't have any hair by then. I'm not even being dramatic. I can tea l run my hands through my hair and have a fist full of hair. I'm seriously debating just shaving my entire hair so when it does grow back it'll look even. I'm sick of having strands of hair everywhere... sigh!
