  1. Seems like the Baiatric Pal store has a lot of good choices. Have you taken advantage of their, monthly box? May be a way to try items, if you like any of the tastes you'll know what to order when you place an order the next. time. Think I may order a box myself.[emoji14]

I do like he BariatricPal food. It seems to satisfy me when I’m looking for something to eat and nothing sounds good.

  2. I had surgery 1/22/18, so I’m almost 12 weeks out. I eat 3 meals a day (no snacks) per my surgeon. I manage to get my Protein in most days, but that said it’s a struggle. I actually get goosebumps often because whatever I’m eating is just so unappealing. I’d prefer to not eat at all, but I usually end up with about 500 calories. I think this is just such a drastic mental change from before surgery, it throws me for a loop. The normal reaction is, enjoy it while it lasts (and I will). The one thing that I enjoy right now are raw veggies. I’ve been adding 2 oz. of chicken to a salad. I cut out dairy which has really helped the weight loss, but it does limit my choices at times.

  3. I woke up and rated my pain an 8. The nurse was right there with the good stuff and made it go away. I slept tons. I had a morphine pump and never felt much pain except when getting out of bed. By the time I was discharged the next day, I was just fine. I brought a pillow for the car. Just get plenty of rest, honestly. This is your chance to be lazy without guilt.

  4. Honestly, I was really sticking to the diet my first week. I hate chicken broth so I wasn't drinking that, and I wasnt drinking Protein Shakes either. I was literally just drinking like actual Soup and eating Jello and drinking Water.
5.5 weeks so you should be clear to work out have you worked out? I can't wait to get in the gym.

I started going to the gym 2.5 weeks after surgery and just walking slowly. It’s been fine and I feel like it’s helped loosen up my abdomen, if that makes sense. My doctor just said if it hurts, don’t do it. I don’t do any lifting yet.

  5. I had the Lap Band in 2010. Initially I lost all my extra weight. However my band slipped and had to be removed. My WLS no longer does lap bands because of problems they’ve had with it. I would suggest you read some studies, the good and the bad, to see if it’s right for you. I know someone who still has theirs in and is happy. However, I hear of a lot of people revising the band to another WLS.
