Seems like the Baiatric Pal store has a lot of good choices. Have you taken advantage of their, monthly box? May be a way to try items, if you like any of the tastes you'll know what to order when you place an order the next. time. Think I may order a box myself.[emoji14]
I do like he BariatricPal food. It seems to satisfy me when I’m looking for something to eat and nothing sounds good.

Oh and I slept in a recliner for nearly a month. Couldn’t lay flat bc of the pain. After that, improved rapidly.

I Protein shaker bottle and some packets of Protein Shake mix travel well. I find I don’t really care what I eat. Grilled chicken isn’t too hard to get a hold of either.

I had pretty bad abdominal pain for a few weeks. It was right about where you’re describing. It got better slowly. Glad to hear you’ve contacted your Dr though. Never bad to check.

I had surgery 1/22/18, so I’m almost 12 weeks out. I eat 3 meals a day (no snacks) per my surgeon. I manage to get my Protein in most days, but that said it’s a struggle. I actually get goosebumps often because whatever I’m eating is just so unappealing. I’d prefer to not eat at all, but I usually end up with about 500 calories. I think this is just such a drastic mental change from before surgery, it throws me for a loop. The normal reaction is, enjoy it while it lasts (and I will). The one thing that I enjoy right now are raw veggies. I’ve been adding 2 oz. of chicken to a salad. I cut out dairy which has really helped the weight loss, but it does limit my choices at times.

Has anyone experienced this post surgery? I could literally care less about eating most of the time. Eating is literally a job. I scrunch my nose at most things. Am I just a bad cook? It’s such a 360 from my pre surgery life. Advice? Does it pass? Obviously I need to keep my metabolism up.

I woke up and rated my pain an 8. The nurse was right there with the good stuff and made it go away. I slept tons. I had a morphine pump and never felt much pain except when getting out of bed. By the time I was discharged the next day, I was just fine. I brought a pillow for the car. Just get plenty of rest, honestly. This is your chance to be lazy without guilt.

Honestly, I was really sticking to the diet my first week. I hate chicken broth so I wasn't drinking that, and I wasnt drinking Protein Shakes either. I was literally just drinking like actual Soup and eating Jello and drinking Water.
5.5 weeks so you should be clear to work out have you worked out? I can't wait to get in the gym.
I started going to the gym 2.5 weeks after surgery and just walking slowly. It’s been fine and I feel like it’s helped loosen up my abdomen, if that makes sense. My doctor just said if it hurts, don’t do it. I don’t do any lifting yet.

I’m on day 12 of a 2 week clear liquid and Protein Shake only diet. I’m not going to lie, the 1st 5-7 days were hard. My body has adjusted and now I’m okay. broth has been my saving grace. “Better Than Bullion” beef. I also like fruit punch Crystal Light. Hang in, you’ll make it.

I had the Lap Band in 2010. Initially I lost all my extra weight. However my band slipped and had to be removed. My WLS no longer does lap bands because of problems they’ve had with it. I would suggest you read some studies, the good and the bad, to see if it’s right for you. I know someone who still has theirs in and is happy. However, I hear of a lot of people revising the band to another WLS.

Maybe I just haven’t gotten to that point where my body adjusts.

I’m having surgery the 22nd. Currently struggling w the Clear Liquids and Protein only diet. I’m still starving. Could my carb addiction have been that bad? Is this normal? What gives? Help!

I’m scheduled for RNY Jan 22nd. Im currently on my 2 week Clear Liquids and Protein Shakes diet. I expected it to get easier by now (day 5), but I’m still super hungry. Someone please tell me it gets a tiny bit easier?? I have 9 more days. I knew it would be hard and it’s so worth it, but I thought my body might have adjusted a bit better by now.

Don't be so hard on yourself. This isn't easy. I have had to learn to give myself grace.

Yes. I was deciding between sleeve and bypass. Since I previously had a failed lap band, my doctor told me that bypass was the better option because it's easier to convert. I also have a lot of weight to lose.

I had the same pain post-op when I had my RNY. My Dr told me it was ok and it did go away.
