I have kaiser in Colorado and had my surgery 6 months ago. I had a BMI of 35 at my first appointment. I asked about losing too much weight and going under the 35 BMI and Terry the physiologist said I would not be dropped for losing weight. It took me several months to get my surgery date because I had to get an ok from my cardiologist. I lost 40 lbs during that time and my BMI on my surgery date was 31. I loved my experience with kaiser. I just had my 6 month appointment and I have lost 98.2% of my excess body fat. I have lost almost 95lbs total and I feel great.

Good morning. I had my surgery yesterday. I feel pretty good. Getting my liquid and ice chip down. Walked severed time last night and this morning but I’m so tired. I think I get to go home after 11am this morning.
I hope that my fellow 27th friends are doing well.

I’m also on day 9 of this diet. I was losing more weight before I started. I have only lost 3 lbs in the last 9 days. I think it might be the premiere Protein Drink. I haven’t had milk in years. I think I am reacting badly to this drink. I am going to stop using it and stick with the nondairy products. I have lost 30 lbs in the last 8 months so I’m not too worried.

Its funny but I just got a full mask in the mail - therapist thought it might work better since I sleep with my mouth open...so I'll try that!!! The smell is so plasticy - hopefully washing it will get rid of that smell...
I am anxiously waiting for the next step...I did the mental prof appt and did the sleep apnea thing - I guess what's next are classes - I just sent another email about setting up the classes...the waiting is tough...I'm assuming it won't be done until next year [emoji20] I'm using Kaiser in Denver - anyone else on here used Kaiser for their weight loss surgery???? Thanks for all your great comments!!!!
Oh and what's the difference from CPap to BiPap - KP is only offering the Cpap
Hi I’m also using Kaiser Denver. I started in April. I had to get an okay from my cardiologist and that took months. I started classes in September and my surgery is scheduled for November 27th. I had to makeup one class so that set me back about 2 weeks. Good luck. I thought the waiting was hard tooApple203 and FluffyChix reacted to this -
Hi. I am going to have my RNY on November 27th. This is day 3 of my liver shrinking diet. I have been a daily reader here but this is only my second time posting.
I am 56 years old and I had a small stroke last year. I have no lasting problems from the stroke but it woke me up. I do not want to be obese. I have spent the last 8 months pursuing this surgery. Tests, drs appointments and classes have made me stronger. This site with all of you, has made me stronger.
Thanks for all of your conversations that have given me so much hope.
