Waist Size Expectations? Close to surgery
My ultimate goal is to have my relationship with food change! I hope it happens to me in the same or similar fashion that it has happened to you.

Congratulations! Wishing you the best!

Low cals post op
I think I am eating somewhere's between 500-575 calories a day. I know it's crazy. By all rights I should be ravenous but I have no hunger, head or otherwise. That much said, I am growing sick of liquids only. I am looking forward to finally being able to have something pureed.

Sleeved Monday, 3/12/18 & struggling!

It does feel like the protein is drying me out too. Sent from my Z981 using BariatricPal mobile app

Question about shakes
Do protein shakes count towards both liquid and protein goals? I cannot remember. Sent from my Z981 using BariatricPal mobile app

Can’t Sleep Because of Hunger
I hope my hunger is gone for good. I wonder if the reason my hunger is gone is partly due to the pre-op protein shake diet I was on. The body kind of goes into ketosis. Sent from my Z981 using BariatricPal mobile app

Am I losing to slow???
When I crunch the numbers with a calculator it looks good! You're roughly 13 pounds a month. The average through diet and exercise alone is maybe 6-8.

Dumping finished...now experimenting with cake and biscuits....
There is sugar-free maple syrup available so you could do that with a small pancake. Could it be the combination of the carbs from the pancake and the syrup that finally caused dumping syndrome?

6 Month Insurance Requirement
Dayum! That's strict. Well, maybe the doctor's insurance administrator can use certain fancy terms to make things happen a little faster? :-)

Sleeve revised to RNY
Please take several large steps back from the ledge. You're doing fantastic and you have every reason to celebrate. This is only a bump in the road. Have you spoken to your doctor about the insomnia? Maybe they can give you something short term to help you sleep. There all kinds of medicines available that are non-narcotic that work reasonably well. Of course I am no medical professional, but you are only 3 weeks post-op and it may take your body time to adjust to its new reality. Just like you did with the sleeve, work the steps methodically and slowly while following your doctor's programs. When the tough gets going, just look at the day minute to minute, hour to hour. This is only temporary. I suffer from depression as well and I just had bypass. Remember, this surgery will alter your hormones and biochemistry some. I don't really cry easily and I was an emotional wreck last Friday. I had a good cry and felt relieved.

@Rose400491 Great job on the 70lb loss! LOL, you've got to update your progress in your profile.

6 Month Insurance Requirement
I believe that it's 6 appointments over 6 months. It doesn't have to be 180 days.

Sleeved Monday, 3/12/18 & struggling!
It gets better! We're surgery twins. I had mine on Monday, March 12th as well. What will really help is getting up and walking. At the risk of being too pushy, it is only rain. Throw on a hooded jacket and go out for even just 10 minutes, 3 times per day. GasX really only works once the gas is absorbed. To get the gas to move and to be absorbed, walking is key. Get some Colace and Miralax to help get the bowels moving. I don't believe you necessarily planned poorly. I felt much the same way for a while. Today is the first day that I am really starting to feel like myself. I have pain from the port site incision and it has finally dulled down some. Try to get in a little more protein and water today. If you continue to have difficulty, it is time to reach out to your surgeon.

June 2017 sleeves! It’s 9 months.
@Dabearo Just keep persevering. You will get there soon enough. You're doing fantastic. How much weight did you lose in your first 90 days?

Can’t Sleep Because of Hunger
@NYCNomad Man, I am sorry that you're experiencing this, especially because I am sure you expected your surgery to basically to kill the hunger pangs. What form of surgery did you have?

Dumping finished...now experimenting with cake and biscuits....
I haven't had dumping syndrome just yet. LOL! I am, according to Baritastic, only 6 days post-op. It sounds like a horrible feeling and I am so not tempted to tempt fate and see what it feels like. It sounds like it really bites the big one.

Getting closer to the finish line!
Maybe you could try the OptiSource ones. They taste pretty good and dissolve rapidly. They're a chewable orange-citrus flavor.

Where on you did you first notice weight lose
I think I am seeing it in my face.

March-April Rny-ers
I think I'm still a little ballooned but I cannot really tell. I'll need to put on a pair of jeans. I'm not feeling really well today. Getting the occasional sweats and shakes. God I hope this isn't a staple line leak. No fever though and no pain in the stomach area. Sent from my Z981 using BariatricPal mobile app
