You will do wonderfuk. I am now 9 days post op so of course I'm still in the recovery stage. You have the right attitude, so I know you'll do great.

Amazing. I'm 8 days post op as well. And I'm on full liquid diet due to my inability to keep down anything past broth and water

How long did everyone use their little one ounce cups for, how did you do the transition to "big girl cups" and how did you handle going out like shopping where maybe its harder to get your Water. Right now I am supposed to be drinking 1 ounce every 10 minutes does that change when I go on to the mushy foods part of the diet??
I'm curious for the answers to your question myself. I am 9 days post op.

Does the Water still make your stomach hurt when it's going down.

Hi all! I got home early this afternoon. My surgery was yesterday. I woke up with the gas pains everyone mention. The most uncomfortable pains were in my left shoulder. I had a few sips of veggie broth, a third of a Popsicle and a small bite of Jello but I was still feeling nauseous and ended up throwing it back up. This morning however I felt like million bucks. I slept very well and I'm fairly certain that helped tremendously. I'm a bit sore but not like doing a gazillion crunches like some say. It's been a good day. Hope everyone else is feeling good, too.
Glad all went well. Everyone has a different experience and tolerate pain differently. I'm glad all is well. Enjoy your new journey. [emoji1]

You are not alone. I am 8 days post op and I Water makes me cramp so you know the Protein Drinks give me trouble. I'm making snail progress but still it's progress. I would try to lean towards more of the Clear Liquids for now until your tummy is ready. I'm no pro buts that's what I'm doing.

2 weeks? You should be fine, but everyone is different. I am aware of alot people that have sedentary jobs that return that soon, but a physical job may or may not be different. Personally I'm not myself at the point but I am doing to do daily things that doesn't include too much bending over and stooping. Play it by ear.
