  1. YAY.....sippy lids. Yes I do use them and not for just shakes. OK...I still use them and I'm almost a year out
  2. I fit in to a jacket I could not even wear the day it was given to me 10+ years ago....talk about feeling great. P.S I still think that plate of chicken was too big
  3. Eggs are one of the first things I started eating. I eat the whole egg not just the whites and no problem here. I now like the Just Crack an egg cups. They are a perfect size for breakfast and they fill me up.
  4. If you need someone to talk to im just a phone call away
  5. I'm game....Dfick@sbcglobal.net
  6. First of all, I am sorry this happened to you....But man that was the funniest thing I have seen here in a long time. From the title to the post.....You put a smile on my face.
  7. >>I had a burrito with salsa Why????. Surgery Date:05/09/2018.....WTF To answer your question...No I can eat and love hot sauce, salsa and spices.
  8. My doctor told me at my first follow up appointment that if I measured my success by the scale I would be disappointed every time. My scale reads 203 pounds and has been there for a couple of weeks now but the size 36 pants that fit when I first got them not too long ago are getting real loose. So just because I can’t see it on the scale doesn’t mean stuff isn’t happening.
  9. 11-15-17. Went great. From what I understand it went better than most. I was off pain med's in 2 days and back to work in a week and the gym in 30 days. I thought I got very good care there and if I had to do it all over I would do it again in a second. I hope you do as well. Good luck and if you have any questions we are all here for you. PS...please don't get mixed up with the people at Smart Dimensions Weight Loss....it will come back to bite you in the ass.
  10. I'm from La Habra had mine done at UC Irvine....Wife Had hers done at Fountain valley. Any questions just ask...Welcome!!
  11. Just wait. you will be in for a big surprise as your taste will change and stuff you used to like........well just wait
  12. Thats where my wife had hers done. I got mine done at UCI....Small world
  13. I have had them on and off sense I was in my 20’s. I have an elevated level of calcium in both my blood and urine. I had all the tests and nothing medical going on, just one of those **** happens kind of things. I was taking something but I could not tell you what it was. After my surgery, we retested and I was almost normal. BTW When I got my list of vitamins to take…The calcium supplement was X’ed out in red
  14. I have the same problem as you. My wife had the bypass and that’s what I was going to get. My kidney doctor recommended that I get the sleeve as the bypass would put me at a higher risk of stones. I am 5 months out and no signs of them. Here’s the thing though…As the weight is coming off my calcium level is going down. Not normal and might never be but it was low enough to stop the meds for it
  15. Sorry let me correct my self. That looks like too much food for me. I could mabe get the fish down. For breakfast 2 eggs or 1 packet of oatmeal will do me until lunch. Last night I BBQed ribs. I ate 3 and I was good for the rest of the night. Mabe I just got a small pouch.....Don't know?????????
  16. Im 5 months out and that still looks like too much food....looks good though
  17. For me my taste changed. Most of the stuff I used to eat I just don't want and things I did not like taste OK now. Oatmeal....really did not like it. Now I have a packet almost every morning.
  18. My bill was 63.000 and out of that I paid 3300.00 out of pocket. Sounds about right. That was with Health Net.
  19. My wife had it 5 years ago. I had mine 11-15-2017. I supported her in her journey and she returned the favor on mine. Going on 33 years together no problems here.....that post on the divorce rate, I call BS
  20. I'm sure you made the right decision and you will be fine....Good luck
  21. Wow I am sorry to hear that. I was 1 step away form insulin my self. That was the wake up call for me. I hope you do get better and get the surgery you need.
  22. Off topic....But, what we have been given is nothing more than a tool. How you use it is up to you
  23. The only regret I have is that I did not get this done sooner. I feel better than I have in a long time.
