  6. I have a bad cough too and when I cough really hard my right incision hurts for a couple hours. Just go easy on it for a couple hours and the pain should subside. If it doesn’t I would call your surgeon.
  7. Hi, I was sleeved 12/28 and my nut and surgeon said the first week i will be on clear liquids including jello. I tried some 3 days after my surgery and had a small pain under my left breast bone every time I take small bites. I tried it again tonight on day 5 post op and felt the same pain. Is this normal? Will this go away? is it because its sort of cold? Anything helps, i'm just worried. Thanks!
  8. My doctor said 4 weeks off of work, but cleared me to go back after 7 days because I work at a sit down job in an office.
  9. It’ll get better! It’ll all be worth it in the end.
  10. Welcome to our group!! How is the healing?
  11. Early appointments are the best! I didnt get an early appointment so I had all day to think about it. But once the time came, it literally flew by. Happy new year to a new you!
  12. I am the burp queen all of a sudden, doesn't matter what I eat or drink. Burp burp burp!
  13. Welcome to the up side!
  14. I had chest pain today, and i find that it goes away once i take my stomach spasm meds. or it happens when I drink my water too fast and get to much air in with my water. Its normal, your body is healing.
  15. In my opinion you worked too hard to give up a couple days before surgery. You deserve this.
  16. I'm different then most people in the fact that I wasn't nervous at all. I kind of just ignored the bad outcomes. Which is probably not the best idea but it went by so fast. You go in, and literally wake up in recovery! Don't sweat it! You got it
  17. Jealous! I’m only 4 days out!
  18. They should of sent you home with a stool softener to take once a day. I had a BM the first day home, but I know people that hadn’t had one for up to a week. It’s normal, your body is trying to figure out what happened.
  19. I chose the sleeve for multiple reasons... mainly because it’s basically helping with Portion Control which is a problem I fought before I had surgery. Mainly because the RNY requires Vitamins to be taken everyday for the rest of your life and there are a lot of long term health risks associated with it. But with every surgery there are potential complications and your surgeon will go over it with you before they proceed. I’ve never had a problem with GERD Or acid reflux so I was a good candidate for the sleeve. My sister in law got the RNY and she’s had dumping multiple times this past year. She says it’s the worst feeling ever.
  20. Glad to hear! Make sure you get some zicam and airborne. It cuts the cold in half!
  21. I am sorry your experience has been this terrible! Where did you have yours done?? Like creekimp13 I took Narcos for 1.5 days and then just stuck with Tylenol extra strength liquid and it works great.
  22. I feel you! I’m ready to start losing Weight and be healed. I don’t have much pain anymore except the incision where they pulled out the excess stomach. I can sleep on my side without problem. I had surgery on 12/28
  23. As long as you don’t gain weight during the 2 weeks you should be fine. My surgeon made it clear that if I gained weight by the surgery date it will be cancelled. Just don’t gain, you’ll be fine [emoji5]
  24. You have no clue how much your response made me feel better! I thought I was the only one not being able to eat much.
