I am 4weeks post surgery and now on soft diet.  How many calories per day?  I had fixed my myfitnesspal app to do 1200 calories with 75% protein, 15% fat and 10% carbs.  Is this correct?  I'm curious, what are some of you doing?

Since I last posted in November, I was approved by my insurance and my surgery was scheduled January 2nd, 2018.  I know it's been so long, but I was very down about the denial, but then was so surprised when they called me after Christmas telling me I was finally approved and they could do it on the 2nd.  I am 10 days post op now  and am I the only person who misses food???  This clear liquid diet is making my tastebuds taste metallic...anyway, thank you for the support!  

Surgery is postponed...insurance did not approve it citing "not medically necessary."  I was calling to check what time I was going to report for surgery, I was told I was not on the list.  Probably due to some finance (insurance) problem and for me to call finance in the morning.  I come home late from work and see the letter from the insurance company stating it did not appear that my doctor was working with me on my weigh loss and that it was not medically necessary.

I'm frustrated, but not defeated.  I filed for an appeal this morning.  I called the clinic and I was advised to wait.  So now I wait....

So I have a surgery date!!!!  D Day is November 28th!!!  Provided all goes well with insurance, yadda, yadda, yadda...but yeaaa!!!  I'm psyched!!!  I do have to adhere to liquid diet two weeks before surgery....which is in four days....BUT it is necessary so here we go!
