This woman has been making fun of someone who was overweight. Apparently because they were “more” overweight than her, she was deserving of ridicule. I will most certainly continue reporting bullying behavior as should you.

As for your accusations against me, they are lies so it doesn’t bother me in the least. Feel free to report my post. I’ve said nothing that are against the terms of service I agreed to abide by. You, however, cannot say the same. Nor can several others on this thread. However, most of them have ceased their behavior. You continue to harass me for over 24 hours now. Anyone could read back and see where you asked me why I was posting here and repeatedly told me I can’t post here, made accusations against me and hurled insults at me. You’ve been a bully and were warned by the moderator to stop, yet you continued yesterday and now seem to be intent on doing the same today.

Evidently you are unable to engage in “healthy debates” as “healthy debates” do not include, bullying, name calling or telling them they aren’t allowed to be here or comment on posts.

So, feel free to report any post I’ve made that has been against the rules. You’ll find that you won’t get anywhere because I’ve done nothing wrong. However, I still encourage you to do so as maybe it will push the moderator to take a look at your own comment history and see the despicable things you’ve said to others.

    Have a great day.

You have no idea who is or isn’t reading posts, actually.

I won’t block you because I want to screen shot your posts and report them. Hateful people like you should be removed from this otherwise lovely community.

If you didn’t read past the first line then how did you know I used the word bully?

For someone who claims they aren’t reading my posts and have only read the first line, you keep responding. You also took the time to click on my profile and read about me. So, you’re clearly interested. How do you know “no one is interested” in what I have to say? I’ve had conversations with several people here who seemed to be interested. I don’t think you can speak for everyone. I also don’t think the amount of time one had been on this app really matters. That’s rather juvenile. As an aside, I have been a member of BariatricPal for a long time. However, I only recently joined the community. But, again, that is irrelevant.

I’m not sure why you’re so hostile. You’re here insulting people, making fun of someone who was overweight and generally repeatedly breaking rules yet you’re angry because someone pointed out your bad behavior? Strange. I hope you find a way to calm down and enjoy your weekend.

It’s difficult to read your post. It seems maybe you typed too quickly and made several errors. But I get the gist. And telling someone to “shut it” is certainly against the terms of service. You’ve been calling others names and bullying, which had been explicitly forbidden repeatedly in this thread alone.

I never pretended to be an admin. I’m not sure why you’re making that up. I’ve also never responded to anyone with insults or by calling them names, so I’m not sure what the “ive seen how you respond to people” is about. It seems to me you’re making things up for some strange reason.

Regardless, I’ve reported your bullying and name calling. Hopefully they check messages on the weekends. This seems to be a lovely community of mostly very kind and helpful people. I think it’s important to remove people like Abeille and yourself who are toxic and purposely harmful.

Yes heavier people so lose faster but only at first. Being heavier doesn’t mean they reach their goal faster. And, again, for someone like you who is losing slowly, I can’t believe you would make fun of someone who is so to their goal. Or make fun of anyone at all, regardless of how close or far away they are from their goal. I am shocked by the handful of people who have decided it’s okay to come here and make fun other overweight people. Or people who were once overweight but have worked very hard to lose it. Yes I know her posts were awful and abhorrent but yours are just as bad. I hope the admin is checking his messages this weekend. This is absolutely disgusting. He has repeatedly asked people to stop or they would be banned and everyone else stopped except you.

The Admin has asked that people stop responding to this person yet you have responded to her 3-4 times in a row. Why are you doing this? And why are you trying to make fun of her weight? Yes she said horrible things but that’s no reason to make fun of someone who was overweight. We have ALL been overweight or we wouldn’t be here. To say, “oh well you weigh more than me so you must have more problems and must be bad at your job” is horrible! I don’t understand why you would make fun of someone especially when you posted above that you weren’t losing very much weight after your surgery.
Please follow the rules of the forum and stop making fun of others and stop responding to that person. Your behavior is no better.

You insulted me and were rude and condescending, repeatedly telling me not to post here and asking me why I was here. Then you ended it with something nice and thought that would make it ok. And here you are again telling me I’m not allowed to post here. (“DO NOT RESPOND”). You don’t get to decide who posts here. I’m not the one breaking rules, belittling people or telling them they aren’t allowed to be here. I already sent your attacks to the moderator and I’m sure they’ll deal with them how they see fit. In the mean time, since you are so intent on telling me I can’t post here, it might be helpful to you to just block me. Have a great day.

I’ve been reading other posts on this app and most of them are nice and helpful. I’m not sure how this one got derailed to such a point. But it’s nice to see that this community as a whole isn’t so hateful.

While I appreciate your compliments (thank you), I find it, when coupled with the rest of your post, to be insulting, condescending and insincere. Your attempts to insult me (accusations of being “dramatic” and “aggressive”) are exactly what the moderator was referring to when he threatened to ban other people. Yet, you continue to call me names and try to force me to be quiet. I don’t know why I have to explain my use of this app to you, but since you’re being accusational, I will say that I clicked on the post for the same reason that many other people clicked. 1. it was at the top of the page and 2. I saw the topic title and wanted to lend some encouragement. I didn’t “read 14 pages of comments” like you accused. I skipped to the end of the comments so I could say something. That’s when I saw you and several others behaving in such a horrible way. All of that being said, I’m not sure why my use of this app is of such concern to you.

You have absolutely been a bully and are still doing so with your repeated insults, your “why are you here?” comments attempting to make me feel unwelcome and your continued insistence that I stop posting (the discussion had concluded, why are you here?). I have every right to post just as anyone else does. I’ve not broken any community rules. However, you have and you continue to do so. I would greatly appreciate if you stopped trying to bully me. I’ve done nothing to you, have not called you names like you’ve called me, have not told you that you shouldn’t be here like you told me, etc. If you cannot stop being rude, hateful, condescending and bullying then please leave me alone. Thank you.

If you apologized then I must have missed it. I don’t see it here. If that’s the case then I made a mistake and I apologize.
I have been rude before in my life, you are right. However, I am never intentionally cruel like that. I never say something with the intent of causing damage and don’t understand people who do.

Come out of the bushes? I only recently signed up for this app and this was literally the first thing I saw in the posts. I’m no shrinking violet and am not one to hide in the bushes. If you’re trying to excuse this abhorrent behavior then you, too, are just as bad. As far as “judging others”, this post written by you is full of judgement and bullying against me. The hatefulness and cattiness of the women on this thread is unbelievable. I thought this was a support page but people like you are trying your best to control other people by bullying them. That might work for some, but it won’t work for me. If you don’t like what I have to say there’s a block function you can use. You can block me but you won’t bully me. Have a great day.

I’m sorry but there’s just no excuse for all of your behavior. We have all struggled with our weight to the point of having WLS yet you still make fun of someone’s weight??? How could you do that? To me, that was a betrayal to every single person on this forum.

If someone says something cruel to you and you hit back, you are only showing that you’re no better than they are. What she said was terrible but what you ladies have said is just as bad. She’s no worse than you ladies.

I’m very disappointed in all of you.

Everyone who has responded to this thread tonight should be ashamed. ALL of you. Especially Lacecute, StartingFreshNana and Abeille. Who talks to people that way? I don’t care what somebody says to you, who says things like that? You should all 3 be banned from this site. This is shameful. I’m embarrassed to know I even joined this page. I had no idea it was like this.

My biggest secret... I have a cheat day once a week or maybe once every 2 weeks. I eat whatever I want for a whole day. It’s usually pizza or Mexican food. I can’t handle much sugar due to dumping syndrome, otherwise I’d probably be eating cupcakes on my cheat day too. Actually, today was my cheat day and I had seriously amazing pizza from a local pizzeria. I also had a tiny Mississippi mud cookie.

Cheat days are how I keep myself on track every other day. If I have a craving for something I just remind myself that if I wait until Saturday I can have whatever I want. It keeps me focused.

I will even send you some of mine to try out since they are fairly expensive and you wouldn’t want to waste money on an entire bag if you couldn’t tolerate them.

I’m very sorry you’re having difficulties. That must be scary and frustrating. May I ask why you chose the lapband in the first place? I ask because there is so much research out there that says it is 1. Ineffective and 2. Has a very high rate of complications. There’s actually not a surgeon in my entire state who will even perform the lapband surgery anymore.

Thank you, berry. I just cringe when I see things like this because I wonder if people are aware of the very real dangers.

Here are the Vitamin supplements that I take. The brand is Bariatric Advantage and they are pretty good. I actually look forward to them. The texture and taste are very much like Starbursts. I also take the same brand of Calcium supplements in this same type of chewable but I didn’t have the packaging for those with me.

I agree with you. This is a very emotional journey and people can be very insensitive even when they’re not trying to be. You don’t want to be derailed by insensitive comments. You also don’t want to damage or lose your 3 close friendships due to them possibly not understanding or not being supportive. I see it happen a lot and those relationships are forever changed. Good luck!

I know this is supposed to be for fun, but I feel I have to say something. My best friend died after WLS. She died about a year post op due to not taking Vitamins. She insisted she didn’t need them, that she was getting vitamins from food. She said she was losing weight fine and didn’t want them because they made her feel sick. She died at the age of 28 and left behind 2 toddlers and a devastated family.

Many people say, “well my blood work is fine”. Vitamin deficiency actually takes a long time to show up in blood work (several months at least) due to the way your body tries to keep vitamins stored as a backup. By the time they are detected, oftentimes permanent damage is already done. Aside from death, deficiencies can cause irreversible damage to your body.

Please don’t be angered by my post. I really am not trying to lecture you. And maybe you know all of these things already. If so, then I apologize and you are of course free to do with your body whatever you please. But some people are just simply unaware of the possible consequences. I wish someone had come along and given this info to my friend and possibly saved her life.

Maybe there are other options for you such as a Vitamin Patch? Or the Tespo vitamin system which is just a once daily liquid “shot” of vitamins that doesn’t taste too badly actually.

I’m going to attach some screen shots of how vitamin deficiencies can effect your body. Again, I apologize if this is unwanted information. But maybe one person will find some use for it.
