When you started your program they weighed you. That is your starting weight. As long as you don't go over that starting weight I don't think you should have any worries.

It sounds like you are doing fine. Only eat what your stomach allows you to eat. You don't want push it and end up with bad over eating habits. Just make sure you are getting your required Protein in. I am 10 weeks out and I stayed with the soft food phase a little longer than what was required because that is what I was comfortable with. My nutritionist said that was not uncommon. I very slowly started adding more regular foods (one at a time). Again, just make sure you are getting your protein in.

Melly75 got a reaction from kakatlady612 in Time off work and telling co-workers?
    1. I took one week off. I have a desk job so it wasn't that hard to go back to work.
    2. My company doesn't require a reason to request time off because we are provided with a certain amount of paid time off. I did mention to my boss that I was having surgery, but that was as far as I went with it. It is not their right or business to know the specifics.
    3. I didn't tell my coworkers anything because again, it's not anyone's business. If you feel the need to tell them something because you know they will question your whereabouts, I would simply say you are having surgery. If they ask why, just let them know it is a private matter.

Make sure you are getting your required amount of Protein in each day. I am 10 weeks out and I had a stall around week 7. I realized I wasn't getting my required protein. Once I made sure I was getting all my protein, the weight loss picked back up.

I was told that by a trained professional who is herself a post-op gastric patient, in a nutrition class FOR POST-OP GASTRIC PATIENTS. My nutritionist is not an "outlier," but is a certified professional who works in conjunction with my surgeon, in his own office. I'm sorry it doesn't match your opinion, but it's what we were taught. Besides, I emphasized taking small sips, even with a straw.
