  1. It took 10 days for my approval. There are some people that had to wait 3 month. But accord to my insurance 5 days is the turn around time but they have up to 15 days to respond. BTW I have Aetna.
  2. I started taking the bariatrics advantage Multi with iron and I was told I needed more iron that was in that vitamin so I had to added another iron supplement.
  3. I think people who have not battle obesity just don't understand.
  4. Congrats. How are you feeling? what is your day like the next day after surgery?
  5. Its nerve wrecking waiting on an approval. I don't have BCBS but it is normal to be nervous I stalked my insurance company for 10 days sometimes calling 2x a day just to check the status so I get it.
  6. I am still waiting on my doctor's office to call me with a date. I spoke with my coordinator she said to give the MA until Monday to contact me about my surgery date.

  11. Hey guy I am soooo HAAAAPPPYY. My neighbors probably don't like me right now because there is a lot of hooting and hollering going on in my house. My 3 yr old is looking at me mad crazy because I was APPPPROVED for my VSG surgery so excited. I have been stalking the insurance company everyday for about 10 business days and final an approval.

  17. yeah most hospital have soap, towels, toothbrush, toothpaste, and comb in there arsenal. Nurses don't like you taking stuff without them knowing even gas x and they have stuff for dry mouth at the hospital. I worked in a surgical unit and they pretty much gonna have what you need except slippers but they will have a lots of socks...lol
  18. A slipper to do your walking in the hospital and comfortable clothes to go home.
  19. Its just like a normal Dr visit the doctor will look at your stats and make a suggestion on which surgery he think will work out for you and of course and can share with him your thoughts. Then they put you through to the coordinator who explains your benefits and gives you a list of things your insurance may want you to complete. Also they may set up your nutritional classes as well.
