How is everyone doing? My surgery is this Friday the 29th. I'm so nervous I've been biting people's heads off please pray for me!

It looks like everyone I doing well, so glad to see. My surgery is still scheduled for the 29th. I'm super nervous. And I'm on antibiotics for an infected pinky toe so hopefully it clears up, doctor said I should be fine but I'm a major worrier... Ugh hope everyone has a great Christmas and holiday season! 🎄🎁🎉

So I have rescheduled my surgery for December 29th, hopefully nothing else will go wrong, I am such a pessimist, always have been, now that my surgery has been scheduled I will just find something else to worry about. I hate being put under anesthesia, always afraid I won't wake up but I know being obese that I will end up with a ton of health problems.

I've had three c-sections as well also tubes tied during my third surgery. Did you have your tubes tired with the c-section or thru your belly button? More than likely that is what her adhesions were from. I have had laproscopic surgery to remove my gallbladder so I am concerned about that. The c- section should not affect the laproscopic RNY if that is what you are concerned about you are correct about that not being affected because it isn't in the same area. I actually asked my obgyn about it because she herself had a RNY done before. I'm hoping that the Bariatric surgeon's office calls me back about rescheduling me for December since I had the melt down and was rude with her... Just really upsetting because no one mentioned anything about the $1300 hospital co-pay before they tried to schedule my surgery... Best wishes to everyone!

Hi, I'm new here, I should be having surgery in November. I'm 33, female, married with 3 kids. I'm currently having anxiety about being out under anesthesia for surgery. My parents are not helping out any and keep saying they are worried I will die. Meanwhile my mom is overweight with high blood pressure and diabetes and other issues. I have made it through 3 c-sections, 2 ankle surgeries, gallbladder surgery and appendicitis surgery. I still worry about anesthesia. Can anyone give me any tips on over coming these fears?

I saw that as a flavor option. Was afraid I wouldn't like it so I didn't even sample it..

I called the doctors office and left an angry message, the lady that does the scheduling was nice to me when she called back but I feel like a jerk, going to try to do the surgery at the end of December so we can get some money together to pay the hospital. She did acknowledge I should have been told about the insurance months ago and that whoever told me the incorrect information should have not done that... I'm afraid I will get crap service now since I wigged out like a Cray cray... Oh well guess I'll find out! 😣

So apparentlyI won't be having the surgery on the 20th 😕 I called the hospital and apparently I will have to pay $1300 up front with Medicare to have it done. I really wish I would have known that before. The surgeon's office told me it would only be "around a $200 deductible" I will have to call and try to get it rescheduled tomorrow. I'm super bummed.

I believe you do a liquid diet before. I should be having my surgery at the end of November I hope! I'm new to this forum. I'm so nervous but I have had positive responses on here so far so I'm trying to be optimistic! Congratulations on getting a date!
