I love spring and summer! We still have snow and a muddy mess since it's starting to melt. But I definitely get our more lots of trips to the dog park and walking the trails with our pup. I also do a lot more walking so much nicer when it's not on the treadmill. Come summer we set up our pool and the trampoline goes up. I've been looking up exercise routines for the tramp.

I have not puked once. I had the sleeve

I received approval from insurance in 2 days!! Dr. Luther will be my surgeon too. I see him on March 26. I won’t be getting the surgery until June but I’m so happy to be over this phase.
Dr Luther is great. My surgery went very well. I had minimal pain after and recovered quick!Katbad and Lyngolean reacted to this -

Yes! I am constantly cold@ Doesn't help that I live in frigid Minnesota. I am dreaming of a tropical spring break! I used to be hot all the time. I actually prefer the cold!

So just wondering how often you drink Protein Shakes? How many a day? How far out are you? Do you use them as Meal Replacements or just to supplement?
I drink between 1 and 2 a day. I've been trying to get more Protein from food so I can cut out the second but it's rough.

I live in Hudson Wisconsin. I’m almost done with all my pre-op stuff I will be having my surgery at United by Dr. Svendsen. The staff that I have encountered has been wonderful! Everyone is genuinely happy and rooting for you to succeed.
I have heard great things about your Dr.! Are you having sleeve or bypass? We were just in Hudson last weekend :-) -
I have gotten really good at this Water game! Yep I treat it as a game or challenge and it literally starts the minute I wake up! I drink at the least 84 ozs a day. I bring my water bottle with me everywhere I go. If its not in my hand its in my purse. I actually now kind have a mini freak out if I don't have it! I also track my water alongside my food in an app on my phone.

I am planning on at the very least a Tummy Tuck. But it is not just because of losing weight. I had a stomach surgery that went wrong 8 years ago. The Drs left my stomach crooked. I want this fixed more than anything. It was one of the reasons I had the sleeve. I needed to lose weight before they'd fix my tummy.

I’m in Woodbury. I finished all of my appts today. They will submit for insurance approval now. I’m going for a band revision to bypass.
I’m going to Meadowbrook. Anyone have experience there? They have been very nice so far.
Plan to have the surgery in June due to work and travel until then. Can’t wait!
Yes I had my surgery at Park Nicollet and had all my appts at Meadowbrook. I had Dr. Luther. I had a great experience. I'm about ten minutes from Woodbury.Katbad reacted to this -
I waited 1 week. But I felt good at that point. Just depends how you are feeling.

Maybe that is what I'll try next time! I'm just going to wink at them and say "I'll tip you better if I can order off the kids menu". Its worth a shot!
Last time when I forgot my card my spouse talked to them for me which was super sweet. But ask the surgeon about the card. All the restaraunts know about it here.TakingABreak reacted to this -
Listen, there is nothing wrong with ordering from the kid's menu. I go full out with the Apple juice and Apple Slices. I have no shame. My friends crack up. They love it. Then I will keep my fork moving and have a full-blown conversation. By the end of the night, no one would have realized that I did not finish my meal.
It's funny because now I order off the kids menu and eat slower than my friends/spouse. And I still have left overs from the kids menu. Most restaraunts will substitute there potato/fries for a veggie or fruit which is nice.FluffyChix reacted to this -
Oh this is some BS. You mean to tell me that I could have avoided all that damn small talk and extra tip money by dropping this baby on the table?
SMH
Yes! Lol Although I tend to tip more when they are cooperative.ProudGrammy reacted to this -

I've been doing really good since surgery. Had the sleeve on 2/9 and so far I've lost 29lbs including what I lost on preop. Today I must have done to much. Having pretty bad pain on my side just praying it's not another kidney stone or kidney infection!

I have the card. My surgeon gave it to me. Most places I tell them I had bariatric surgery and they are very nice and let me order off the kids menu. Other places ask for the card and then are very nice about working with me. I really enjoy eating out with my spouse.
We went to a Mongolian bbq and they don't let you take anything home but with my card they let me take my meal home. -
I am 5'2 with my shoes on! I just had surgery though on 2/9. My goal weight is just something I picked which is 140. My surgeon and his team don't have a set goal weight besides the one I told them.

Saint Paul here! I am still on my pre-op appointments; Surgery will be May or June. Having surgery at United or Abbott-my surgeon goes to both. Welcome!! Hi all Minnesotans! [emoji4] Megan
I'm in St. Paul also. I had the sleeve done on 2/9 -
I am curious about the taste also. And how many carbs are in a bar?
-
It's definitely possible. I'd go get checked right away. I do know the day of surgery they take your blood and can tell if you have an infection. Then most likely it would be canceled. I got I kidney infection about 12 days before surgery was scheduled and they canceled that date.

My bad. I think I clicked onto the nutrition label for the powdered version by mistake. The one in the bottle does indeed seem to be just 6 grams of carbs.
That's not so bad.
I thought I was reading it wrong. I had a mini heart attack. Lol -

Anyone else have a lot of life changes after the surgery?
I just was offered a position today at my daughter's school. I am going to be working with kids with special needs in the High School. This is what I've wanted to do ever since my youngest was diagnosed with a chromosomal disorder. I start after spring break and am very excited.
I am also going on an all inclusive vacation in June. Once schools out of course. Lol
Tomorrow is my birthday and with any luck knock on wood I will be in onederland tomorrow. I am right on the edge right now. That would be the best birthday present I could ask for!! So many changes happening and all very positive changes. I am a very happy lady!!
