  1. Thanks joe. Did your wife get to that number within a year or so? Most people even heavier than me- have reached below 130.. not sure how long it took them. Lots of people have claimed they kept slowly losing weight for up to 1.5-2 yrs after surgery. That’s great for your wife. I’m 35... so, I’d expect to keep dropping.. fingers crossed I can break plateau.
  2. Thanks. I definitely need to mix up my eating habits. Lower sugar - higher protein some days, etc... I’ll keep that in mind..
  3. Well- at first dumping symptoms are pretty dramatic and I might say they feel like they last 20min but they don’t... it could have been dumping? But that early on is mostly when you’ll feel severe symptoms... it will get better. 10 months out I still get dumping often- but not so bad... keep an eye on it, cus it can be other things though hun.
  4. Yes i track everything for sure. Also trying to drink more water.. thanks for the reply.
  5. So... to sum this up- gastric bypass. 10 months ago. Started 250. Currently 146. I’ve lost the weight with higher carbs sugars and maybe calories than most. However can’t and couldn’t digest most cleaner foods ... just ate here and there for survival. I’ve been stuck at this weigh since early June... my first actual plateau. Years ago when I was dieting my weight always struggled to be lower than this... I would expect with bypass that I could teach my goal of 120 easily... my surgeon was even confident in that- considering I’m only 5’2.... I feel fat and disgusting... I eat tiny portions. Any of you been stuck for a long time and then lost a bunch again? .... I know I’m in my head about this- and had fast and great loss- but... f**ck... I didn’t have surgery to be this size... yes I have tons of skin.. when I remove it, I’ll look much smaller... until then - I need more losses. Just feeling very frustrated..
  6. This list is long... don’t judge. Lol I have no sex drive. No arousal sensation. I shop wayyyy too much. I lost friends I don’t like being around unhealthy people I always watch how much people eat and think “ damn” that’s a lot . I feel guilty when I eat most foods. I feel weird when I buy size small or medium clothing. Like it’s for someone else. I feel more confident and attractive now. Other than that- I’m the same. Less moody now. Still a nice girl. Lol.
  7. Thanks for the tips! I graze a lot too! But that’s mostly because I can’t digest most real foods yet. However! I do count every single calories and stay under 1200 even when I eat junk foods. So that way I don’t feel deprived and can still lose my weight. Seems to work for me. I change my calories and workouts and then I see another drop. 9 months post op. 20lbs left! I need to work hard for this last 20 though! Snail slow! Having “ stall “ type going on for the first time. Still thankful. I’m bypass so I can’t eat too much anyhow. Making sure I don’t stretch the pouch .
  8. This mentality is beautiful! I’m at that point too! I had rapid loss initially and now that I’m 20lbs to goal- it’s slow as hell. 1lb loss makes me super happy. Means it’s moving in the right direction.
  9. Omg. That’s not slow. You’re doing amazing! Congrats
  10. I couldn’t agree with you more! I have such dry skin, and emotional guilt and issues. I’m happy and thankful- but feel guilty when I eat most food. Like I’m going to stretch my pouch out or something. I never recognize feeling hungry or full. I lost 100lbs in 7 months and now things are super super slow. In the 140’s and often terrified to step on the scale. My weight does go up and down by a pound based on my sugar or sodium intake... life is super weird now... the feeling weird in my body. Although I’m also not complaining.... happier x100000 ... but I always thought being skinny would change my eating issues... nope! Just harder to binge because I’m full. My mind is still the same often.
  11. 4lbs a week is fabulous!! It may slow down much more than that honey. When you get small, it will. Then it’s discouraging. I’m going through that. Not to say you aren’t smaller now.
  12. If my weight only stayed the same for a week, I’d be stoked! Mine stays the same for weeks now... yes I do eat more now.. no , I don’t workout as much. I know that’s why .. but on the bright side? I’m down 105lbs.. just need to exit the 140’s to be happier... in a slump. Pms eating. Happy you’re body fat percentage is reducing. I should probably get mine checked.
  13. You can change up your macros on the app. I eat wayyyy more carbs. I eat around 80-120 grams a day! I eat less protein. I’m 9 months post op and just started eating chicken and 1000-1200 cals a day and some more if I hit the gym. I now barely started stalling... I’m down 105lbs .. but now I lose hardly 5-8lbs a month... try eating 1000cals and more carbs if you can... hang in there! You’ll lose more ... it is very strange that you can eat solids like that at 6 weeks... it took me over 4 months! And now I can slowly eat junky meats.... sadly. I do eat nuts and stuff. Helps my hair not fall out so much I feel ...
  14. I would kill to be 120 or less! I started 8 months ago at 250 and now stalling at 147.. my first “ stall”... it makes me panic into thinking I’m stuck here... I better not be!! I’m only 5’2 though! So while people say I look rather small now- I would love to be extra petite. You’re tall so you look tiny too .. but I think you look great. Sorry you aren’t hungry. I also often force calories ... I eat lots of nuts and such! At least it’s healthy calories... I’m a size small and medium also. But pant size 8 almost 6... I’ve got a ways to go.... good luck to you and smoke weed if you want an appetite... if that’s an option. It sure works
  15. Most things give me dumping. 8 months post op .. eggs won’t digest anymore . I recently started eating small low calorie Caesar salads with rib chicken bits. Fills me up nicely. I do sometimes indulge in Starbucks cake pop and Red Baron thin crust small slice of pizza. Super salty- but I can digest the strangest things!! Looking forward to eating Real foods. Healthier cleaner foods. I’ve been at 147 for 3 weeks now. I’m always within my caloric range no matter what I eat though! So... can’t wait for another nice drop!!
  16. Congratulations honey!! Welcome to the 100lb club! I’m also down the exact same. I shop way too much. Lol.
  17. Wow! Congrats on such fast results! You have me beat easily. I’m happy to hear you actually eat! Seems like everyone is super strict and doesn’t eat anything off “plan”... I try to live. Especially if we’re losing this fast- why not eat , if it’s working.
  18. Eat more. A lot more if you can... I seem to be a very unique case... down 100 in 8 months with no stalls.. I might stall a week or two but still lose some.. then a big drop.. I don’t workout too much either... walk 45-1 hour few days a week. I eat 1000-1300 cals too. Plenty of carbs... so I guess I cannot advise? I just say make sure you poop and drink lots of water. That helps me
  19. So here’s my take on it.... absolutely no regrets.. down 101lbs and feeling like a million bucks. 25 more to go... Shopping is amazing and I look quite sexy. However. I did get in bed with the devil... 8 months out and I still cannot eat most things. I’m the queen of dumping syndrome and and feeling sick and throwing up. I haven’t even tried most foods and I dump almost daily. I do have a structure- so until I get that opened up- I just eat what I can digest. I experiment all the time. I can digest thin crust pizza and cheese and crackers and berries- and cannot most healthy things. Very strange. For me? I feel like I have to learn to eat all over again. I don’t ever know what I can and can’t digest. I wish I could have chicken breast and salad. Or a balanced diet like we’re suppose to have... I do not. I drink shakes and things. Protein bars and snacks. I came from a huge family and my boyfriend is a foodie. I cannot join them. I’m OK with that mostly. I do taste or nibble sometimes to test the waters on digesting it.. so... I want you to see the rough side too. I know once I open the structure I can likely digest a lot more. But this has been my exhausting experience 8 months in... god honest truth. My positive outlook is my confidence and new quality of life. I’ll eventually be able to eat a balanced clean diet of real protein and food. When?? Who the heck knows... lol.
  20. I had bypass 8 months ago. I lost 100lbs so far. My first month I lost over 30lbs. Second month 20lbs and third month I started averaging about 15lbs per month- but then after 5-6months it seems to keep slowing down at about 7-10 per month. I started at 250- and now I’m at 148... so I only need to lose about 20lbs more or less- and perhaps that’s why it’s slowed down. I also don’t get in enough nutrients as I have a stricture and can’t digest most real food. Animal meats and products and most anything really.. so.. yeah. But my body did let go faster than a lot that I’ve spoke too, and I haven’t truly plateaued ... I feel lucky. It’s a very rough long road.
  21. But noted! I won’t put oil inside me.. I worry about that too.. Ph balance stuff
  22. So I’m about to get super public here... I’ve been thin before in my life ... so I’ve done it all- sexually.. toys, lingerie, etc etc... I’m experienced in this area... this is a whole new thing as far as not feeling aroused. My boyfriend is very sweet about it all, but back when I was this size or smaller ( 140lb ) and going! I had regular sensation. Now? Nothing.. those arousal gels and stuff don’t work either. I don’t like the sensations of them... im gonna deal with a doctor soon to figure it out... likely surgery did something to my hormones... thanks for the suggestions though
  23. Hmmm! Well I hate the added sensation ones. They definitely don’t feel good for me... basic is the way to go... water based usually. But they can get super slippery.. lol. Coconut oil huh?? Okay.. are you knowledgeable? Thanks nobody is usually willing to have the awkward convos. I appreciate it. Honestly I’m not stressing it. There’s more to life than sex.
