Pain in chest under left breast

Did you just have surgery? If so, it's gas in your house rib cage. Walking will help.
  2. Dec. 8th here. Down 40 lbs since surgery and 128 lbs since starting the 6 month pre-op diet. It's only going 2-3lbs per week now, but I'm still losing every week.

    Carbs!

Well... This topic certainly got derailed.

    Carbs!

About 50-80g per day for me. I'm getting about 1000-1200 calories a day at 8 weeks out.
  5. Personal aircraft flight lessons! Always wanted to do it, but there is a weight limit of 250lbs. I'm 28.4lbs away from qualifying!

Rate of loss Pre vs. Post Op

I started at 406 and lost 88lbs during the 6 month preop process. Surgery day = 318 1 month post op = 292.6 (loss of 25.6) I'll do my 2 month weigh in next Friday, but it has slowed down. I'm in the middle of my 2nd big stall. I hit about a week long stall in week 5, lost about 5lbs in week 6, and am stalling again here in week 7.
  7. You're not going to add muscle/bulk with the limited calories we're getting at this stage. It will help you prevent losing the muscle you already have, though. I guess it really comes down to which do you prefer: - lose weight at a possible slower pace, but know you're losing mostly fat and little muscle - lose weight slightly faster, but know you're losing both fat and existing muscle I'm at the point where I'm willing to lose slower if it means preserving muscle, as I think I'm going to need the muscle to not look like a deflated balloon.
  8. Toomanytacos, The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn with your resting metabolic rate. My goal is to lift heavy to preserve muscle during my fat loss in order to fill out loose skin. The reality is that you'll never "add" muscle at only ~1000 calories a day... The goal is to prevent losing as much muscle that you already have as possible.
  9. I've been losing 3-5lbs per week. I had my 6 week follow up appt yesterday and my doc told me to try to up my cals to ~800-1000 per day as I am now cleared for weight training. He wants me to get to 1200-1400 by week 12 (my next follow up appt).
  10. I lost 88lbs on the 6months diet Insurance required prior to surgery. I just did calorie counting and stayed at our under 1800 pet day. Starting weight: 406 (6/13/17) Surgery weight: 318 (12/11/17) Current weight: 285 Goal weight: 225 (I'm 6'3")
  11. I'm 6 weeks and 3 days out. Here is what my lunch was today (and you're damn straight I ate the crackers that came with it). I can only eat about 3-3.5oz at a time, so am eating about 4-5 meals a day totaling about 750-850 calls per day.

    Saw Recomendation....

You'll use a mitre saw more than a table saw. Be sure to get a double bevel and sliding as stated above. Check out Craigslist or your local pawn shop. You can find quality used tools for half price or cheaper than new.
  13. Yes. I have this issue as well. One of my biggest regrets is that I did not take any before pictures until the night before my surgery. I lost 88 lbs on the 6-month pre-op plan prior to surgery, so I really don't have any good pictures from my heaviest weight to do comparisons.

    What happens if you overeat?

    This. Exactly this.
  15. Nice work! Keep up the grind and you'll hit the mark!
  16. I'll be 4 weeks out on Monday as well. I've been on a stall the last 5 days after losing almost a pound per day after surgery. I'm only getting to 600-700 calories per day, which is usually 2 protein shakes and 3 other meals of some kind of protein per day. I use Nectar protein brand, which are 100 cals/24g protein each. I make them with fairlife skim milk (80 cals/13g protein)which makes each shake 180 calls and 37g protein. My 3 "food" meals per day don't seem to give me much calories as they're lean protein and I can only eat 2-2.5oz at each meal. I'm in the soft foods stage and have been eating a lot of fish/seafood for these meals. Starting weight: 406 Surgery weight: 318 Current weight: 297 Goal weight: 225 (6'3")

    Weight Regain After Gastric Sleeve

Curious from the sleeve veterans, how does regain happen? Does your sleeve eventually get to the point where it's not restrictive after a few years? Grazing on junk throughout the day to get around the restriction? Still restrictive, but eating bad food instead of protein with what little can fit? Combination? Other? As someone who has lost and regained almost 100lbs several times in my life, regain is my biggest fear. I would love to learn from others experiences of what common gsv regain pitfalls to avoid. I'm only about 2.5 weeks post-op. Thanks in advance!

    Male Plastics

Good to hear it seens they found the issue. Hope it gets smoother for you from here. Keep the updates coming. I'll need a similar surgery in about 1yr, so trying to learn as much as possible through other guys' experiences, and there are so few guys who do it (or discuss it).

    Male Plastics

How are things going, OneDollarBill? Is so hard to find guys who went through plastics to get experiences from.

    Chipotle Puree

    ... And a picture.

    Chipotle Puree

I was craving meat, but I'm still in my puree phase. My wife got Chipotle for dinner tonight, so I made a Chipotle puree with some success! 1 side of Chipotle grilled chicken. 1 side of Chipotle Queso. Blend together into puree. It basically tastes like a really good dip. Makes 5 servings. 82cal, 9g Protein, 1.8g carbs, 4.6g fat per serving.
