Mine was also hiatal hernia and went in 12/19 and release 12/20. Have any of you had any complications? I don’t know if it’s from the hernia or not. But I feel like heartburn or acid reflux , something I’ve NEVER had before.

Call your doctor. Doc needs to know what’s going on with you. I’ve heard lots of people have same experience.

My Protein Shakes count towards Water consumption, so that helps. My surgery was 1/15/18. I still haven’t gotten in all fluids, but I’m working on it.

Hello I’m 10 days out from having sleeve surgery. I’m so happy I made the decision. I fought this surgery for 4 years but finally decided to have it done. I’m on week 2 puréed stage and just getting frustrated with still not able to get all the Water in and now to throw 2 Protein Shakes in. If anyone has any good recipes can you please share!! I’m new to the app. Thank you so much [emoji4]

It’ll get better but it still blows. Sorry.

Anyone else scheduled for January 2018? I have my surgery scheduled for January 11. I'm having to wait until next year because I had a stent put in back in December 2016. The anesthesiologist won't sign off until I have had the stent for at least a year and am able to come off of Plavix for the surgery.I am scheduled for January 15, 2018! I’m excited to get this done. Just finished day 6 of pre-op diet. Just a few more to go.

I had my surgery back in august, and i still dont keep track of anything. I just make sure my Protein is higher then my carbs or equal to it, everyone has there own program. Some track, some dont. But Protein and fluids are one thing everyone has in common. It still takes me about 20-30 minutes to eat 4 to 5 tbsp, and i definitely can not chug water...lol Water is hard for me to drink alot of at once. The eating is a little easier when i do take it slower, and use a toddler fork or spoon. Helps you from eating to fast and to much. I use to get sick alot after eating, because i was guilty of both. The toddler utensils helped out so much. Good luck to all of you and know with time you will learn your new stomachs! :0)

What are some good Protein Shakes I can buy from the store? Something that isn't full of sugar and doesn't taste like ass
I like Atkins shakes. 15 gr Protein. Sugar is 1 gram.

I found that Water aerobics/swimming is wonderful exercise. I bought swim leggings with skirt to cover up my fatness. Ha! The water feels great! Good luck to you.

There is a rock painting craze where I live, so I'm painting rocks then hiding them in children's parks and around town. I'm not an artist but it doesn't matter. I get ideas from other painters. It's fun and harder to eat with paint brush in hand.

I take BariMelts and have them shipped automatically monthly from Amazon. Easy to chew and they melt and easy to swallow.
