  1. generally Hair loss happens if you are not getting enough Protein. Everyone I know swears by the biotin... but just remember you are not going to absorb the full dose. I am little over 2 months since my surgery and my hair is not falling out. There are so many different factors that go into the hair loss aspect. But hair is not a big deal to me. if i go bald they make really cute wigs. NOT having to shop at lane byrant is so worth having to snake my drains.

Mine didn't start right away. Maybe took 2-3 months before it started falling out. Hair loss is common after any surgery anyways but this is excessive and I thought it was supposed to stop around 6 months and it's 7 and still coming out.
The Biotin will work for growing new hair but idk what to do about keeping it from falling out. 🤷🏼‍♀️

  2. Almost everyone loses hair during the first year. Typically from months 3-9, and it starts regrowing at about your one year surgiversary.
I'm 6 months out, and started losing during the preop diet, and it hasn't slowed at all. Can we say SUPER thin? I only have about half my hair left. Fortunately it's curly, so the body tends to hide the thin-ness. Haven't had trouble meeting my Protein goals, and take Vitamins, so it's just one of those things...
Fingers crossed it'll start coming back in next spring...

I was thinking it was going to stop around 6 months but it hasn't slowed at all. I had very thick hair but it's down to half and I'm afraid of it doesn't stop I'll be bald!!!
