Cheated and disgusted

You could always put a teaspoon of vegemite (or marmite) in some hot water and make your own broth to get that flavour. -

I'm not sure if I could do six tablets. I might try to see if I can find some liquid mutli vitamins. My stomach is really really sensitive. My Dr called back and I do have anemia and am Vitamin D deficient so I'm on some mega iron for a while. For some reason I always seem to be D deficient - even before my surgery. Not surprised about the anemia as I'm vegetarian. As for Miralax... I have the opposite problem! lol. -

I love Marmite. Vegemite is too grainy. -

To the OP I’d say maybe work on that feeling of being ‘disgusted’. There’s no reason to feel that way about yourself. This is a long road and there will be times you stall or even gain. It’s part of the journey. Being disgusted serves no purpose. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move on. -
I've been doing some microneedling at home. I've yet to see any results. I have the Nuface device too... it does give me some results - not on my gobbler, but subtle results on the rest of my face. I fear I'm going to have to go under the knife... I don't think any of the stuff I'm doing is going to do anything.

Finally 100 pounds down🙌🏼 Whoop!!

Congratulations!! -
I think it is possible to stretch it out. I had the sleeve... now granted I did have lots of stents put in to fix a leak, but I started to gain weight pretty quickly after everything had healed. I only lost weight because I was on TPN for 3 months and wasn't able to eat or drink anything. I had an endoscopy and the GI guy was shocked that I had lost any weight at all because there was little to no restriction. That's why I went on to have the Bypass. So... something definitely stretched out for whatever reason.

I get this terribly at times and have to take a prilosec. That seems to sort me out.

I haven't been feeling great lately (very tired, anxious, etc) so had some blood tests. I just got the results and it looks like (I haven't talked to the doctor yet) that I am anemic. Also Vitamin D deficient... again. I am not good at taking vitamins but this is a wake up call and I'm going to get on the nutrition wagon! I guess to answer your question Sheri, taking my vitamins and taking it seriously has been my biggest issue. -
Really? 👀

This is a bit of a blow 😞 I'm sorry ❤️ When something like this happens I try to look at it and think that maybe someone was looking out for me and maybe it wasn't the right time for me to have it done. I guess it's the hippy upbringing I had haha. I'm sorry about the setback - I hope something comes up that will help it along.

THE SLOW LOSERS CLUB SUPPORT THREAD

This is me in the last year... And in the last 3 months... Definitely steps... some going up! 😂 -
Had a haircut for a big anniversary do that people will be at that I’ve not seen for years. Before my 120 lb loss. I said ‘please cut it to my shoulders’. It’s two inches above that... just below my jaw. I’m gutted. FML.

gastric bypass side effects
froufrou replied to skyewolfe's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well thankfully that's extremely rare and you're more likely to die from obesity than on the operating table. That's great that you have a good support system - everyone going in to this needs that. -
gastric bypass side effects
froufrou replied to skyewolfe's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Complications - I had a leak when I had my gastric sleeve and was in hospital for 3 months. Had several surgeries to put in a stent (didn't work at first - had to have one stitched in place. That one ended up slipping and so had to have it restitched). My whole sleeve was a total flop, so I had the bypass. Yes, there can be complications, but despite them I went back and tried again. The main thing that I wish people knew when having complications is to make sure they have the support of family around them should everything go t i t s up. I had to fly my mum in from the UK to look after my autistic daughter. I knew there was a chance of complications, but I had absolutely zero idea of how that might impact my, my husbands, my daughter's and my mum's life. So... my advice to everyone getting surgery is to make sure you have a good support system in place should the worst happen. THAT is what I wish the surgeons office would emphasize when we sign all of those release forms. -

Pregnancy... women's bodies seem to normalise hormonally, so make sure you're on birth control until you want to have offspring 😂 -
Is that for me? I'm just wondering how far up in her chest this is... upper as in above the breast or is it somewhere under the rib? That can sometimes feel like lung. Splenic flexure is around the rib area.
-
Yep! I had to throw out a lot of candles and wall pluggy smelling things because they smelled awful to me 😝
-
Is it under your left rib? Or higher? If it's under the rib then it could be splenic flexure. I get a lot of trapped air here and it can really hurt. Gets worse for me at certain times of the month, or sometimes if I'm backed up or have eaten something gassy. Best to get it checked out though just to make sure.

I'm a gurggler too. It's louuuud. My daughter comments on it a lot haha.

How many years after surgery could you eat a plate of spaghetti without feeling nauseous?
froufrou replied to Ninja-slash-nerd's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
You could use a smaller plate and then it would be full! hahaha As to the OP's question... It took me a few months I think. And then I'd get the slimies and throw up. Now I find it too heavy - it just sits in my stomach. I might try out those edamame noodles and see if they suit my stomach better. It is really hard when the cravings hit - we have a lifetime of head stuff to deal with. Maybe find some alternatives to fill that craving? -

Thank you for letting me know! I am going to give them a miss haha. I cannot stand the smell of fish and I hate slimy things. Definite pass!
