Have u tried adding unflavored protien powder to ur foods? Alot of ppl have said it helps with protien intake. Maybe using the products in the bariatric pal store like the soups and hot chocolate that have added protien..there are many products..they are a bit costly tho. I dont kno if u heard of the brand syntrax protien? They have alot diffrent flavors of protien like ice tea and grapefruit and cookies n cream and u can buy the sample back so u can try the flavor before buying a whole tub. The fruit flavors are really nice. I feel like an ad..but im still in pre op stage so im trying so many diff things and trying to prepare myself for after surgery. Bariatric sites tend to have the best products and many options bc they r custom made for bariatric patients. Hope this helps Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    7 month update...down 103 lbs

First and foremost, congrats!!!! How amazing. You should be so proud of urself. Than you so much for this post. Im in pre-op stage and im constantly looking for posts like this. Thank you so much for sharing ur experience in such detail! I have my very last NUT appointment on dec 21 and then my file gets submitted for insurance approval. So excited and a bit nervous. But i feel as ready as i can be. Ive adjust alot of eating habits along the way. I try to do the 30/30 rule as much as i can now. Bc i always always drink while eating so trying to.kick that habit. Ive been going to the gym regularly since september. I really enjoy working out..bieng heavy makes that difficult tho. Knee pain etc. Cant do a crunch to save my life lol. Ive lost a lil bit of wieght but its been slow. Nutrionist put me on the pre op diet early so ive been trying to stick to it. So far its been ok. Feeling really good abt the surgery. 7. I think, personally i wouldnt want to get it done in mexico if the option to get it done here is available. Im going through the insurance hoops currently. Its frustrated having to wait so long but honestly it has prepared me mentally and physically. This is not something i would want to jump right into. Another aspect to think abt is the after care. Having ur surgeon and his team here for u after surgery is a big help. I have read stories from.ppl who have done it in mexico who flet a lil lost after surgery. I kno not every doc in mexico is the same, but this is something that ive come across. And god forbid any complications occur its good to have the surgeon who operated close by. This is just my opinion. I would only choose to do it in mexico if there was no other optiom bc it is much cheaper there when u r paying out of pocket. 8. I agree. No matter how much mental preparation i try to give myself pre -op, i know that theres so much i cant comprehend emotionally and mentally until im faced with it. Yes saggy skin does frighten me...but if this surgery will give me better health and more energy than i dont care. All my life ive been tucking my fat into slimming shapeware anyway. Working out alot with wieghts minimizes loose skin..ive seen many wls patients do it, so thats an option. I just want to be here for my kids as long as i can. Im unhappy abt my wieght but i love my life now. And i think so many ppl go into wls thinking it will change how they feel abt their life. Its been two years since i left an abusive relationship (physical, emotional, mental). This wls is a step in getting my life back and living my life for me and my kids. Its so important to love urself and be ur own cheerleader. Ur saggy skin doesnt define u, nor do wrinkles or other physical aspects we r so hard on ourselves abt. Remember their is a beating loving heart inside u. Be proud of everything u are. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Bowel movements

Lol hopefully it wont get to that. Also..flax seeds are really high in fiber and would help with bowel movements. I found that metamucil works fastest. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
