So I’m waiting for my ride home from the hospital. I completed my last round of pre-op testing. Blood work, health evaluation, chest x-ray, and I pre-registered for my surgery. Still super excited! Can’t believe my new life is almost here! On day 3 of liquids, still not hungry but I do miss the ability to chew and I’ve had to have a little soup to get rid of the sweet taste of the shakes and yogurt. I am doing fine though. Down another 2lbs, 5 more days of full liquids then 2 of clear. I’m hanging in there!

I was asked why I wanted to do this surgery and to go into detail with my relationship with food and eating habits but nothing like that, lol

Your surgery is a day before mine. Take a deep breath, remember all of the reasons you wanted to do this. Think of all of the months you’ve committed to getting to this very point. You’ve got this, and we are all cheering you on!

Did you by any chance have a hiatal hernia repair during surgery? From what I’ve been reading that may add to the pain. Hope you feel better soon

Every time I see someone post "anyone else having surgery on such a d such date"...... I always say you should go check out the summer surgery buddies post. One of our members even took the time to make a list of everyone's surgery dates..... I hope I end up having someone the same time as me. I'll end up being a surgery orphan...lol A surgery orphan ??? I thought I would be one but there are 2 other people with the same date as me on this thread and about 2 others on another! When you get your July date, also check the July surgery buddies forums!

lol no! I just wanted to meet a few people having surgery around the same time as me. But then everyone came out of the woodwork!! I love it though! Everyone bonding over their dates and processes to getting approved. You started a whole family! I wonder how everyone who has had surgery already are doing

When you started this thread, did you ever think it would get this big?

You gotta do what you gotta do! ??? My paper work was submitted on a Tuesday and I believe they called me that Friday. It was definitely quicker than a week which they said approval takes a week here in CT
