  1. Unfortunately I have not really found any. I can’t wait till I don’t have to worry about shakes and I can get all my protein from food.
  2. Vanilla can really help with adding that touch of sweetness without sugar. Get vanilla powder and it will make your coffee/yogurt/hot cereal taste like you have added sugar
  3. I have some medical experience myself, and yes what you are saying is, in fact, correct. People, when we use this site, we are not asking medical professionals for advise. We are seeking encouragement and support. Nasty comments are better left for Twitter.
  4. I have been the same weight for a week too. I am only 3 weeks out! I feel I should have lost at least something at 300-400 calories a day! I guess my body was really well designed to deal with starvation!
  5. Try laying on your side, that is our most comfortable position, we can it “the too tired for sex, sex”!
  6. I am three weeks out from my bypass and hernia repair. I was in a lot of pain, really just stopped pain meds like two days ago (night time only). I am only now getting back to “normal “. I am also not losing any weight. I have been at the same weight for a week! So mostly just feeling down
  7. With the bypass you can a feeding tube places in the “old” stomach if you ever need urgent support with eating issues. With the sleeve you have enough stomach left they can use a regular feeding tube.
  8. When can I start to take regular pills, like just swallow my iron tablet instead of having to crush it!
  9. I did start at a very low BMI, I had the surgery to deal with Barrett , so not for weight loss per say, but now I am sitting here think, what the heck is going on, I should not be in a stall so early?
  10. I am three weeks out from my surgery and I have only lost 10 lbs! I mean I have been taking in 400 calories a day and I can’t believe it. I have been at the same weight for four days now
  11. I had surgery on9/14. Gastric bypass, with hernia repair, still at home, have a couple more weeks to go before I have to go to work. Just started full liquids and have discovered I am not able to take milk. So back to water in my shakes! Feeling “raw”, like anything might want to make me cry
  12. Haha, I was actually horrified to think I was going to have to ask for help wiping! My hubby just laughed and said hey I saw you give birdsong no biggie!
  13. Keep using this site, message someone individually, ask tons of questions. It only gets bad when you think you’re alone. [emoji106]
  14. Gastric bypass, that part seems to be going fine, I am just in so much pain from the hernia
  15. My real pain is definitely coming from the hernia repair, did not ever have a c section so can’t compare. My biggest problem is not being able to sleep. I just can not sleep. Thank you you all for your support. And jchillion2589, I know it feels like you will never make it, but the better you do on the pre op diet, the better your surgery will go, so just keep moving in that direction
  16. I am 10 days out from my surgery. I had hernia repair at the same time so am really have an huge amount of pain. Can not sleep at all. Just feeling like maybe this was a mistake and now what. I also have not lost much weight, I started at 210 at the two weeks pre op, and now am only 191. I have the surgery to deal with Gerd, it was bad and getting worse. So it needed to happen but I am just so full of doubt.
  17. Had my surgery on 9/14, with a hernia repair. I think I am having a problem with my protein shakes, I might not be able to deal with milk solids. Does anyone have any idea what to do about the unbelievable gas pain I am having? Can not sleep, but I can seem to pass any stool either, just really feeling down.
  18. I am really struggling with feelings of self doubt-what the heck am I doing? How am I every getting thru this. I am not doing the mostly for weight loss, I am having the surgery to deal with gerd, of course I need to lose weight but I am just really second guessing myself
  19. I have surgery in a week too I am have so much trouble with the shakes! My dr. Is insisting on one brand of shake and I hate them
