  11. I just made the Cottage cheese bake from the Baritastic app & it was good (and I don't like cottage cheese!) I just added a little sprinkle of Parmigiano Reggiano shredded cheese to the top (looked like it needed it towards end of baking). INGREDIENTS: 2 cups low-fat or fat-free cottage cheese 2 whole eggs 10 oz pack of frozen spinach (thawed and drained) ½ cup Parmesan cheese DIRECTIONS: Preheat oven to 350° F. In large bowl, mix all ingredients together well. Place evenly into 8x8 pan. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until cheese bubbles on outside. Let sit 5 minutes before serving. 100 lbs lost!

CONGRATULATIONS! You look so incredibly amazing and beautiful! You honestly look like you're already at your goal weight! WOW! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. I didn't know about the dreaded "3 week stall" until seeing it on various posts. It happened to me when I went on pureed diet stage (for me that was at 3 weeks). Discouraging, but "This too shall pass". Stepping up my exercise hoping that helps. Also having to take Miralax, issues with not "going" without it. Open to suggestions Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using BariatricPal mobile app
  14. My pre op diet did allow food, although strict, and clear liquids the day before surgery. I feel pretty good actually, abdomen still a bit tender/sore, but tolerable. Only had to take Tramadol under a week post op. Walking from the evening of surgery really helps with gas and makes you feel so good! I started slowly, and built up time and distance. I'm thrilled to say NO reflux at all since surgery & I had GERD with bad reflux before. No diabetes med. (was on weekly Trulicity injections for months prior) & my abdomen has noticeably gone down already - which feels so much better! Worth it already! It's normal to feel quite anxious before the surgery, believe me - I did! Even briefly question if you're doing the right thing, but for me, I'm so thankful I did and on the way to better health. Good luck with your journey.
  15. So thankful your reflux is gone already! Mine was immediately since surgery too, praise the Lord!
  16. I'm 59 and had the Lapband revision with Gastric bypass 3 weeks ago. I'm so thankful I did already! I only stayed 1 night in the hospital (pre op they thought it would be 2 - 3 days). Surgery went smoothly, although the Dr. said I had a lot of scar tissue around the band. I walked twice the evening of surgery, and walking twice a day around the block (stepping up the distance today). Following instructions to the letter, and I too was anxious prior to surgery, but was miserable with reflux, wt. gain over the past few years & digestion just wasn't right. Wish I knew a few years back the band was probably causing my prior issues, but at least we moved forward! God bless you on your journey, like everyone else - so thankful I did it - NO reflux at all, no med. for Diabetes, and probably come off cholesterol med. (haven't needed to restart it) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using BariatricPal mobile app
  17. I had Lapband revision with Gastric bypass on 9/5/17. Decided with my Dr. that it was the best course to take in April. I wanted to wait until after the summer, as our daughter was graduating high school and then college late August. Did 90 day program with Dr. & Nutritionist, then they submitted to insurance after (BCBS Fed.) Did all the tests (labs, CXR, EKG, ECHO per my Cardiologist) on specific timeline. Probably about a month or close to it before I found out that I was approved. We set my surgery date before beginning 90 day program. Was anxious to hear if I was getting approval from insurance, and I really think my calling customer service with them helped expedite the process. I also spoke to the manager at my Dr.s office. Hope this helps & not TMI [emoji4] Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using BariatricPal mobile app

    Arkansas Medicaid

I have BCBS Fed, so it may be different. Anxious to hear about coverage. My niece lives in Arkansas too & she couldn't get approval from her insurance (through her job, never heard of the insurance). I'm so proud of her though! Through hard work and determination, she's lost around 100lbs. so far by exercising and healthy diet. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. I'm glad you called them and got it figured out. That's good it has nothing to do with the ulcerative colitis.
