    Chilli from wendys

Ok, now you're making me want Chili, LOL 🙂 I think that's a question best for your Nutritionist, but when on soft foods, headed to regular - probably fine. I looked it up (small one) & only reason I wouldn't have it all the time is too high in sodium. But on occasion should be Ok. Ideal would be to make some turkey chili at home & you can control the sodium. Also could do veggie chili options.

    My Story .

God bless you, it's been a long, tough road, but you've shown there's light at the end of the tunnel! Praise the Lord for blessings and your miracle testimony! You look amazing and so thankful you're on the road to continued good health! Thank you for sharing. One of my goals is walking the 5K Susan G. Komen in November to honor friends & family breast cancer survivors.
  3. You look amazing! CONGRATULATIONS!
  4. No, you're definitely not in this alone, we're all here for each other - thank God for that! Let's start with BOTH of us holding each other accountable & only weigh a week from now - we can do it ! What do you say?
  5. I understand your concern. I haven't exactly gained, but after 3 weeks I hit a stall from surgery & although people say it happens (& you'll suddenly start losing wt. again) it's worrisome to me too. So, I've been at a stall for 3 weeks. I'll lose a lb. gain a lb. - as difficult as it is, I really think I need to stop weighing daily & weigh once a week. Also, step up my walking distance a little as able. I'm sure you'll be fine sticking to the Dr.'s orders & we'll have to cheer for each other!
  6. It LOOKS YUM-MO! Thanks for sharing I look forward to trying it.
  7. CONGRATULATIONS on your surgery and best wishes on your journey! You're ahead of me with your wt. loss, I hit a stall at 3 weeks that I've yet to get past but am encouraged in that my clothes are getting quite a bit looser . Thank you for sharing, my reflux is completely gone too, praise the Lord! I never thought about it being possibly from my prior Lapband too.

    Still working on me

CONGRATULATIONS! Very encouraging! Keep up the great work on your journey
  9. I really enjoyed reading your amazing experiences and what a rewarding testimony as well! Good for you, many blessings indeed! Very encouraging, keep up the good work on your journey. God bless you!
  10. I have a very similar one I'm using, since I'm on soft foods & can't have nuts yet: Healthy Cookies Pre heat oven to 350 degrees 3 Mashed Bananas (ripe) 1/3 c Applesauce 2 cups oats 1/4 c Almond Milk 1/2 c Dark chocolate chips 1 tsp Vanilla 1 tsp Cinnamon Bake for 15-20 minutes. Thank you for reminding me, they sound good, can't wait to try one!
  11. I think I'll try it soon with stir fry Riced Cauliflower! It's great that they have it available in bags ready to go in the produce section at HEB now. It would take me awhile otherwise (& difficult for me, as I have screws in my thumb). Your recipe sounds great!
  12. You look amazing! I can't imagine what you went through with the complications & additional surgery, but praise the Lord you're recovered! What an inspiration & testimony Thank you for sharing!
  13. @FluffyChix I made the Quick Lasagna Bowl with the exceptions of NOT having the "super greens trio" and I peeled and cut a large green zucchini instead of yellow squash (because I'm just starting soft foods). It was absolutely delicious! It had the best flavor (maybe because I sauteed mushrooms in about a Tbsp. of Smart Balance/olive oil and added a little garlic powder towards the end & a splash of chardonnay until it cooked off - or it may be the recommended Central Market Taste of Italy Marinara, but it was awesome! I did more mushrooms (a small container). I also baked in the oven instead of microwave - because I don't have a round glass bowl & thought it might taste better (so no pre cooking the egg/cottage cheese mixture in my case, since it was baked all together in the oven).
  14. I can't seem to get past the 3 week stall. [emoji20] I'm a month out from Lapband revision with Gastric bypass. At 3 weeks, when I went to the pureed stage, hit the stall. I've increased my walking, a bit frustrated and concerned. Any suggestions or insight welcomed! Thanks for the support!
  15. You look absolutely amazing! This is inspiring, as I hit a 3 week stall after surgery & can't seem to get past it.

    My Story!!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS! Amazing journey and accomplishments! What a blessing and inspiration!
  17. Mederma cream is supposed to help. In the beginning, once completely healed, coco butter with vitamin E is good to use also.

    My RNY journey

I was blessed in that I only took Tramadol (because I get terrible nausea with med. that has codeine) and didn't need it after about 5 days. The 2 main incisions were tender for awhile, but tolerable. I'm almost 5 weeks out from surgery & doing well. Walking twice a day in the neighborhood about 20 minutes really helps me. My main issue is having to take Miralax twice a day to keep BM moving. Hopefully your pain should subside soon. God bless you on your journey!
  19. Hi all, I had my Lapband revision with Gastric Bypass on 9/5/17. Thankful I only had to spend one night in the hospital. Walking good since the day of surgery, and have slowly worked up to walking outside around our block twice a day! [emoji5] I was in a car accident 4 years ago, multiple health issues since, and last 2 years consistently gained wt. I was miserable prior to surgery, felt like you could pop my abdomen with a pin (looked like 9 months pregnant). I am diabetic, was on Trulicity weekly injection several months prior to surgery, which is the main reason for having the surgery - hopefully help reverse diabetes, get healthy and feel better physically. I'm a disabled nurse now (pediatric/NICU). I know this will/is a journey with ups & downs, and is a "tool" - I have to do my part, but thankful surgery went smoothly and I'm on my way to better health! God bless each of you on your journey! 20. I look forward to trying it next week when I go to soft foods! Or I could make it & puree a little of it Thanks for sharing!
  21. No, my insurance approved it within approx. 3-4 weeks after the Dr.'s office submitted it.
  22. By the way, if this puts you at ease - when my Dr. did my surgery, he said afterwards that I had a lot of scar tissue around the Lapband. He also said my surgery went smoothly. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using BariatricPal mobile app
  23. My physician recommended the Lapband revision with Gastric bypass in my case because I have GERD with bad reflux (I should say "had" because NO symptoms at all one month out from surgery now), and also to help reverse my Diabetes. I'm happy to say my fasting blood sugars are stable and with good numbers, and so far no need for the weekly Trulicity injections I was on before surgery. Best of luck in your decision. I trusted my Dr.s recommendations based on my health history.
