I took a liquid children's Tylenol for a muscle ache unrelated to surgery. no problems.

i'm 1 month post op and can eat a little more than I did weeks ago. BUT, for me, sugar is the enemy. Having been diabetic, I stay far from it because I want my diabetes to go into remission. If I eat sugary or fatty food, that's not going to happen. Plus I don't want to gain ANY weight back. I worked too hard to get here. So it depends on your goals and situation. I have eaten in a group but not yet at a restaurant, I just haven't had time lately. But i'm not concerned about it. eat wisely. that's it.

yep - I put a tiny amount of Neosporin on them, helped.

i'm in a slight stall right now too. 1 month out, haven't lost weight in a week. but I was just cleared to exercise and had my first day back at the gym this morning.
Thank in there! it does work if you work it.

oh! also - when she's cleared to exercise that will also bring on more weight loss. all in good time.

i lost a lb a day for the first couple of weeks and stalled for about a week. it's not unusual. your body is adjusting a lot. if she keeps to her program she will begin to lose again soon. and then stall, and then lose. it's part of the process. hope that helps!

If you feel your doctor isnt helpful, do what you can to switch. there's no law against that. Find someone who knows the latest about weight loss surgery issues and try him/her out. and no worries about ranting - we all need to do that from time to time - big hugs!

It was a great meeting - go if you can! The stories and tips were wonderful. One lady's tip: if you're staying in a hotel that doesnt have a fridge in the room, ask for one for "medical purposes" so you can store you meds and Snacks. I'll share more of these as i hear about them.

Tonight I attend my first Post op group meeting. I'm excited! I feel like i'm in an exclusive club, or sitting at the big kid table now LOL. How was your first post op meeting?

i'm a month post op and still get tired by the end of my work day. I'm not cleared to go back to the gym yet but I cant wait! Lost 13 lbs since surgery and feeling optimistic. Keep up the good work

I don't get hungry, but I sure do know if I've eaten too much.. PAINNNNNNNN. to combat this, I eat very very slowly. take a bite, chew chew chew.. then don't take another bite for at least 2-3 mins. this gives my pouch time to tell me if it's happy or not.

I feel the boring too. Koolaid has been my savior. they have sugar free flavor shots in all kinds of flavors. find them in the flavored water isle at the grocery store. small squirt into a water bottle makes all the difference.

same - I had some scrambled egg after 2 weeks. I just needed something! it was so delicious and nothing bad happened. tiny bites. big savor.

I sure do miss my diet coke, but not so much so that i'm ready to try it and see how it goes.

1 month post op - I still get random pains. sometimes before I've even eaten anything. it takes a while for us to heal up, so unless it's severe, it's likely normal.
-
I also rarely dream, or remember them. but no BAD dreams lately. had a kind of romantic one the other night though. ahem. that's another talk show

same! 1 month post op today and I haven't lost any weight in the last week, (but i'm down 13 lbs overall since surgery). this CAN happen as our bodies figure out the new normal. Not to worry it will go down again. I know it's hard though. it's so exciting when you see the weight number go down! I try not to weigh in every day but it's too hard not to.

1 month post op - still a bit high. I have an apt with my Endo July 17 - hoping I can at least get OFF insulin, and back on Jardiance. Insulin had me gaining weight for years before surgery. It was the only thing that worked when I needed to lose the pre-op weight. fingers crossed.

I"m so sorry to hear that - could be that your mate is worried that when you lose the weight, you'll lose interest in them. try to talk it out the best you can. I've said to my friends, co workers and family, it's not so much about how i look, as it is about living better. Looking better is just a happy side effect.

I had very very little pain post op. Someone asked me if I felt like there was a 'void' where they took out the stomach. that made me laugh actually. kind of makes sense that I would, but nope. anyways. I KNOW it's a smaller 'eating' stomach because a few bites of something and i'm full. instead of a normal sized dinner plate, I have a teacup saucer that I eat off of. and cant always finish what I put on it.
