  1. i'm 1 month post op and can eat a little more than I did weeks ago. BUT, for me, sugar is the enemy. Having been diabetic, I stay far from it because I want my diabetes to go into remission. If I eat sugary or fatty food, that's not going to happen. Plus I don't want to gain ANY weight back. I worked too hard to get here. So it depends on your goals and situation. I have eaten in a group but not yet at a restaurant, I just haven't had time lately. But i'm not concerned about it. eat wisely. that's it.

  2. i lost a lb a day for the first couple of weeks and stalled for about a week. it's not unusual. your body is adjusting a lot. if she keeps to her program she will begin to lose again soon. and then stall, and then lose. it's part of the process. hope that helps!

  3. same! 1 month post op today and I haven't lost any weight in the last week, (but i'm down 13 lbs overall since surgery). this CAN happen as our bodies figure out the new normal. Not to worry it will go down again. I know it's hard though. it's so exciting when you see the weight number go down! I try not to weigh in every day but it's too hard not to.

And how are your blood sugars going @ laurileet?

1 month post op - still a bit high. I have an apt with my Endo July 17 - hoping I can at least get OFF insulin, and back on Jardiance. Insulin had me gaining weight for years before surgery. It was the only thing that worked when I needed to lose the pre-op weight. fingers crossed.

    Yes! Me.

I"m so sorry to hear that - could be that your mate is worried that when you lose the weight, you'll lose interest in them. try to talk it out the best you can. I've said to my friends, co workers and family, it's not so much about how i look, as it is about living better. Looking better is just a happy side effect.

  6. I had very very little pain post op. Someone asked me if I felt like there was a 'void' where they took out the stomach. that made me laugh actually. kind of makes sense that I would, but nope. anyways. I KNOW it's a smaller 'eating' stomach because a few bites of something and i'm full. instead of a normal sized dinner plate, I have a teacup saucer that I eat off of. and cant always finish what I put on it.
