It may take about a month for you to drink more than a couple sips at a time. I'm almost 6 weeks out and I can finally gulp some Water though still less than I could normally. Also, Water tastes good again. You'll find that your taste buds change.
I'm 1 month post op. Before the surgery I used to be so well hydrated, drinking 2-3L of water a day and used to love the taste of water but now I I'm dehydrated most of the time and can't stand the taste of water. It's depressing.
